I dont mean to sound like a smart-ass. But this is even to unreal for sci-fi, maybe the ship has some kind of schielding from the sun and wouldnt melt.
But like I see the windows dont have any filter like in the film Sunshine(2007) and everybody seems to be fine at that distance without getting blind or burning to a crisp.
I know this movie gets a lot of hate, but I enjoyed this movie a lot when I was younger. I was dazzled by the visual style and special effects and I still am today. Of course, the movie was cheesy as hell but wasn't the TV show even more so?
From the looks of their hyperdrive it just looks like an overloaded reactor that generates so much energy that it leats it out as thrust and BAM!!!! the ship goes faster than light..... am i wrong or is there really more too it.
The interesting part of this scene is the detail. When they exit the hyperdrive thingy, you can see all the gas and stuff that was surrounding the ship when it started. A nice effect.
I was replying about the "worst CGI ever" you wrote - it seems - are the ones from "The Last Starfighter". Since the movie is 13 years older than than "Lost in Space", obviously they were not the greatest in history ! Even if they were very good at the time they were made. I was not replying on the fact tapijtklopper knows the movie or not. So Youth has nothing to do with my reply.
LoL at 1:45. Theres no sound in space, silly Hollywood. Cool scene tho.

@abgoldenboy777 it could be that from their point of view that is the windows with filters and that the light is just that bright

Just Like Megaman's plasma charging buster cannon; but pulsed through the ship.
-That reactor isn't really stable, it has No protection sanctuary around it.

@DrHoe77
Well... There is a reason : The Last Starfighter is 13 years older !
yanndick 1 year ago
@yanndick Hell does that mean? "Citizen Kane" came out 60 years and I've seen it TWICE!
Youth is no excuse for ignorance.

Talk about DOUCHE
>"Titanic the douche -bag Sobbing movie about Rearranging rich-peoples A-class death-seats"
HOGGED the movie spotlight; which is why this movie got ignored via
mainstream at the time; & Now there's No SEQUEL thanks to Leonard- Douchbag actor.
I WANT SEQUEL to this Nowz or I'll eat off all their human limbs.
