Ok, i'v been going from 90's song to 90's song on YouTube & every single one has at least 1 top comment about how they miss the 90's or they hate today's music...So do something about it! I miss the 90's and i would love to see music like we use to have play on all the radio stations, but if we are all so serious about this why can't we do anything!? You would think at least one among us has a dream of being a musician & changing music as we know it! We need to organize and destroy bad music!
@slayer4103 The sad thing is, there ARE musicians out there trying to bring back real music... but they go unrecognised. Nobody is interested in them.
@slayer4103 as a 17 year old guitars/drummer/bassist/vocalist my goal in life is to bring back music like this and led zeppelin, the who, grateful dead, etc. there are people doing everything they can to bring back this music and i am damn proud to say im one of them music is my life and it's the only thing i ever want to do o people can start listening to music that takes real musical talent to play and that have a deep meaning behind them :D
I won't watch your video since you allow anti-obama commercial to play...skipping the ad is not enough...you should not be political with your music...and certainly not anit-american in your attack on the sitting president.
Hey internet peoples, we are an independent band from Australia. Our Lady Peace is our favourite band! If you are interested in checking out some original music from fans of OLP, we would really appreciate it. We have a song up on our channel called Leaving Today. A lot of the footage in the film clip is from a holiday we had in Canada. We will be posting a lot more stuff throughout the year as well. Thanks : )
genius /!?? that sacerd word is reserved for gods like the beatles, hendrix, dylan, stones , doors, zep, the who ,the clash, elvis costello....need i go on... this band is barely a blip on the radar screen as i said 1 well written song ...i have spoken...junior.
2 most important generations of rock & roll are 60's and 90's no question about it......problem is oversaturation of airwaves now makes for no more classic songs and bands like in the 60's
Love this band. Saw them for the third time down here in Atlanta a bit over a year ago. Great band in the venue me and the wife saw them. BTW, I'm from Edmonton but have lived down here and there was no way I was missing them!! Awesome band!!
@CDNinATL I saw them in Minneapolis years ago in a smaller venue and they kicked ass. Raine climbed up the second level balcony and dived into the crowd. They preformed 4am and the crowed sang the entire song, the band did not need to say a word. To this day the best show I have ever been too.
based on the math, for every 72 people who view 'Clumsy' by Fergie, there is one person who views 'Clumsy' by Our Lady Peace...I am so glad and so proud that I am that 'one person' and I hope that you are too/two!!
@cannibalcrpsegrinder I really don't think that fergie wrote the song clumsy, OLP on the other hand writes all their own music so on that note I am proudly the one.
So... not to hate on anybody who marked my post as spam, but what? Why? I just really want to be able to play Our Lady Peace in Rock Band. Clumsy would be perfect because of the piano section. I hope I can be "unspammed"
@ShounenKel That's because they're all a part of this new generation who think Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, Fall Out Boy, and others are the greatest gift from God. That's because we were here for 99.1 HFS and The Wall. Our era of the 90's and early 00's will never be fully understood or appreciated. The shift in of a music genre fad is no longer alternative. Does anyone even know what that is/even use it? Probably not. Yes, I'm considering those outliers in the dislike. Hence the probably.
Is it just me or does everything in this band's song, the video, singing, guitar work, (etc) to some extent sound like Nirvana, but in a post-grunge and sort of more.explicitly alt-rock way? Meh... good song/
@Downwiththebaby I feel like that sound of music was a base for all others or they made it popular or I'm not right at all and will get lectured about the dynamics of musical history referencing... Metallica or something. Nirvana was super popular (at least where I'm at) so if anyone listens to something else it will sound like them :\
If you play Rock Band and you are on Facebook, please consider joining my fan page for getting Our Lady Peace downloadable content into Rock Band. YouTube won't let me post the link directly, so please just do a Facebook search for "Our Lady Peace Rock Band"
great band....SO underrated. back when there was diversity in rock. now most rock bands are played on top 40 or pop radio stations. MTV is no longer about music so stop wasting your time with them. they sold out music for crappy "reality" shows. it's obvious when they didn't do shit for it's 30th anniversary.
@govtschemes yeah but he band is saying that this album coming up, in their opinion is their best one yet. so theres no way theyd ask for turner back. it was just time for a change so turner left.
I remember when I first heard this song...I was like 11 years old and it was on the scream soundtrack..I was blown away and i have been a fan ever since, I'm 25 years old now and I still remember all the lyrics after all these years!!!
@midnitegt Yeah Im sorry I just looked it up ..and it wasnt the "Scream"
soundtrack it was actually the "I Know What You Did Last Summer " Soundtrack from 1998!!! I knew it was one of those movies from the 90s! I miss the 90s!!!
This totally reminds me of the teenage years in the early to mid 90's! How the music has changed! We need more bands like OLP, Ben Folds Five, Lifehouse, The Fray, etc!!
@faced12 i know, i remember being a huge OLP fan when i was younger, but then all this other crap started shutting it out, then i heard this song on the radio and i remembered how meaningful this song is
the first time i heard OLP was when i was 8 and started watching wwe and chris beniot came out to the ring. After that i heard their album Naveed and loved them. Among all their songs this is the one that really makes me think
On my 14th birthday, I was in the car and this song came on. I honestly consider that moment to be my best birthday present. Ever since then I've been in love with Our Lady Peace. <3
