My thoughts: I should mention first and foremost I'm not a Dream Theater fan. Most of their work is too "offbeat" for me to get into. But this is an excellent song (lyrically, musically) with a good video to match. Honestly, I consider this song to be a good example of what Modern Metal could (should?) be. I also find the lyrics to be very understandable and relateable unlike most metal bands. Lastly, who doesn't like a song about the abusive, love/hate aspects of a complicated relationship? :-)

Someone give me dream theater's most progressive track. I keep hearing a somewhat older generation slamming tool for these guys, but I've yet to hear the creativity from them I hear from tool. Portney a good drummer yes, creative guitar parts, vocals seem to have a little more pop for my taste but overall, I don't see a superiority to tool in this band when it comes to odd time signatures, poly-rhythems etc etc. Not that I don't enjoy it, just saying.
