You guys could easily re-record the sound - with all the info, and make the video top quality, I'm sure you've already thought about it, but the visual is ok. I could do it for you in half an hour :-)
There is not much more to it than that. Speakons are designed specifically for speakrs and will take a much heavier current. XLR can be used for speakers as well as other applications but are limited on how much current they can take.
So I could easily convert a cable that has a banana clip by removing the banana clip and replacing it with a speakon connector pretty much the same way?
When you only use 2 core speaker cable on standard leads you only use +1 & -1, we take the screws out or screw them in tight. This is to stop them falling out inside the speakon.
You know why everyone is complaining?
Because I dont think anyone else has a speakon build/repair video on here
Speakon cables are also great for people that are crap at soldering or dont own a soldering iron.

The cable used was speaker cable, the cable is only used for speakers but can be fitted with XLR, mono jacks or speakons
