you can also find a dog in scrapyard scrapyard is ito the southeast of minefield and if you go to underworld A.K.A the museum of history you can go to the ninth circle and buy a slave there and you dont need to have bad karma for them and if you get farther into the game you can start a gang with butch if evil karma and team up with a invincible super mutant good karma plus super mutant helps you escape raven rock

here is another way get good karma hire fawkes and then buy charons contract it is way better then jericho and clover plus they are not human so its weird how this is the only way it works i know of with good karma plus i have broken steel so this might have something to do with it

@MrPaplee The reason why they won't equip them may be because they do not have ammo for them. They have their own default weapons, for which they have unlimited ammo. If you want, for example, make Jericho use a gatling laser, you have to give him the ammo as well, unlike Fawkes, who after raven rock has the gatling laser as a default weapon. If this is not the problem you are encountering, then maybe their just full and cannot carry more.

I found a glitch were if you have good karma, get Dogmeat. Then, do the quest to get Charon. And then I did the story mode up until I could get Star Paladin Cross, and all three of them follow me.

Oh. And if you decide to do the latter some player's report to have been able to recruit 2 Star Paladin Crosses after "The Waters of Life" Quest! I dont know if this bug has been fixed but it has been confirmed :)

For those who are good and want to remain good. There's a way to get a follower early on in the game. A glitch on how to get to Citadel even before completing the "The Waters of Life" quest. Youtube should have a video of that as there are other players who have this discovered this glitch :P

well i dont think you can.cause Fawkes and Cross are only seen when you get far enough into the game and sadly near the end.(unless you have Broken Steel) :) why do good people always have it rough.anyway try getting Charon (Underworld) and Dogmeat (Scrapyard) karma doesnt affect them..or get a nonpermanent one hehe.like Red..anyways i got 9 followers hehe :) just found it on youtube haha.very useful trick..

the easiest way i have found it to go on Moriarti's mission to the blond whores house, kill her and take her money. Continue to kill, loot, and steal in Megaton and at the Super Dooper Mart until you buy buy Jericho, then you can get 500 or 1000 caps depending on your speech skill from Tenpenny after blowing up Megaton. You should also kill everyone in Megaton and steal their stuff to sell at Tenpenny Tower and elsewhere before blowing it up.
