  • Raw and powerful, sweet and soothing a spoonful of comfort in a bowl of misery

  • Best song by The Black Keys

  • This makes me cry... amazing song.

  • With the exception of having The Black Keys in it, this looks a lot like my basement/studio/rehearsal space, right down to the washing machine. Excellent song, wonderful band.

  • Their practice room looks like the room my band practices in- very small, and very stuffy, but a great place for making music!

  • gives me chills everytime

  • Brb crying.

  • @countchunkula Hahahahhahahahaha I like the simpleness of that.

  • The tags are perfect :)

  • this kind of song reminds me how much i want to throw K$sha and her lot off a cliff.

Until i start listening to it, that is :)

  • This song makes even the rudest men cry.

  • I didn't know slow songs could blow my mind better then fast songs...

  • przepiękna piosenka <3

  • This is such a sad song. So nice to listen to though

  • This is a perfect example of how good music can still be popular. 706k views in 2 weeks!

Pop stars, think with your heart to make music, not with your wallet.

  • @helloomotta 706k views since November 2008.... lol

  • @helloomotta This video is 3 Year´s old:)

  • Definitely one of the greatest songs ever composed. Blows my mind every time I hear it.

  • @natebakeskate no that would be LAughing by david crosby

  • @natebakeskate i agree! btw just ignore tele757 he is so OBSESSED with bashing the black keys that it is not funny at all.

  • Sounds a bit like "Sweet Melissa" by the Allman Brothers.

  • so low, so slow, you can hear my voice on the moe.down recordings. love this band, and true love grows. no homo.

  • i adore this song... one of the first Black Keys songs i heard. After that i was hooked :-D Thanks BeauBeau <3

  • This song is beyond extraordinary.

  • Man, no matter what happens in a day at least I can always come home to this song and a strong drink, and forget my worries.

  • 13 people don't know what music is.

  • one of my favorite songs. simply beautiful. pure perfection. this song moves me everytime I listen to it. It has a certain melancholy and charm to it. thank you, the black keys.

  • sounds almost like a pink floyd song, black keys are the greatest

  • @WhereAreMyChucks...pink floyd???? definately don't get that

  • @aemerson0425 listen to some pink floyds early stuff like "Green is the Colour" you'll get it.

  • @xRA1D32x \...I have literally everything from the piper at the gates of dawn to the final cut..including the album More. Still don't see it. No criticism though

  • I think this is my favorite song by them…

  • Holy shit could anything be more perfect than this song??

  • "The blues ain't nothin' but a good man feelin' bad- thinkin' about the woman he was once with."

    -Willie Brown, Crossroads (1986)

  • one of the best songs of the last few years

  • God bless the Black Keys.

  • I just listened to this 12 times in a row. wow

  • @reidykj 12?, what about all day?, crying, eating, studying, driving, whole day, i think i got a problem.

  • how did this song never get released as a single? they would have definately played this on the radio where i live...

  • @joshwilson2000 Thank God that didn't happen. The song would've been seriously over-played and would've lost it's meaning to those of us who understand true music.

  • gorgeous

  • this is wonderful cuddle by the fireplace on a rainy day music.

  • the 10 people who disliked this song need to taken away and shot. forthwith.

  • OMG!! How did I not know about this band sooner?? I stumbled across them on the Black Snake Moan soundtrack and now I am obsessed with them! I feel like I've spent years crossing a musical desert and have finally found an oasis!!

  • @CinnamnGrl67 You are awesome!! That was an awesome analogy!! The Black Keys are Awesome!!

  • @xxCODxxMASTERxx Thank you!

  • legend :D i like!

  • iTunes doubled all my Black Keys songs. Instead of skipping every other track, I just listened to them all twice. This band is that good.

  • 2008 was such a good year for indie music.

  • @RoboticShakedown black keys are not indie you bitch

  • @TheSwartt Lol, Okay. Indie is too ambiguous of a word anyway for you to know what I meant by that. So I'll just say that 2008 was a good year for music in general. Geez, so hostile.

  • @RoboticShakedown sorry i saw the ten dislikes and raged ;)

  • @TheSwartt Understandable. :)

  • @TheCasualCows soooooo true

  • I first listened to this song while in a very emotional mood, and I started bawling. Like, legit sobbing because of this song. . Powerful stuff.

  • This song could not be anymore perfect... God Bless The Black Keys! They are helping to save music ... therefore sanity!

  • Amazing song. :D

  • Beautiful.

  • and they say men cant show or feel emotion, well this song proves them all wrong absolutely love this song,

  • Every one of their songs reminds me of the sun coming up.Just feels good to bathe in the light. Amazing songs and vocals. So heartfelt.

  • It sounds like a howling wolf, heartbreaking......

  • i've listened to this song a rediculous ammount of times! love it!

  • this song haunts me.

  • What an incredible, haunting, and beautiful song. You can argue back and forth about what's "good" music and what's not. I don't see how anyone can deny that this is an amazing song with a depth that we simply don't see among most popular artists.

  • @kerberos824 Completely agree. I listen to Black Metal, and I find this song amazing!

  • I cant believe this is the black keys. Its really good anyways.

  • sounds similar to some of the song from the tv show Californication

  • I was working out in the yard the other day when this song came on, and the sun decided to show up. I couldn't help but think that this is truly a guitar just howling at the lonely moon. Fucking beautiful.

  • wow. it's been so long since i heard this beauty.

  • Makes me wanna move to the deep south and buy a muscle car and drink bourbon.

  • Your music is refreshing, unforgetable, and will stand the test of time. Thank You for sharing your gifts of word and music with us.

  • Probably one of the prettiest songs I ever heard in my life. Thank you Black keys

  • hey check out my bands channel, the black keys are one of our main influences. feedback would be killer.

  • A song has never made me feel so happy and so goddamn sad at the same time, as this song does......

  • lady gaga will be famous for a couple of months... but the black keys will stay as long as they are able to play music

  • I almost cried. Almost.

  • wow iam in love with this song

  • Once again, Thank You Criminal Minds... This is where I heard this song.. The episode Zoes reprise... Does anyone know the name of the song that played in the bar scene (Als Alehouse) in that episode? Thanks...

  • tell me where you're goin or what is going wrong I felt you leavin before you'd even gone and hold me now or never ever hold me again no more talk can take me away from this pain

  • this is an incredibly beautiful and emotional pop song. just heard it on the documentary "need that record". I have a new favorite band.

  • @moobie1010 'pop song'? are you sure?

  • @akaBanKsy as a guy named after a famous pop artist - you sure don't know from postmodern art. FYI the velvet underground, the talking heads and the beatles were all pop artists too.

  • @moobie1010 I know that, but I wouldn't class this particular song as 'pop'. Doesn't matter anyway, it's all opinions and whatnot

  • Song to listen to on sunny afternoon driving down a long rode

    :)

  • Tell me where you're going

  • @sgblue123 I agree

  • Refreshing as the northern wind.

  • @sgblue123 No. Kid Cudi should STOP making "music"

  • @StephKath117

Don't hate on The Cudder, He is rap/hip-hop's last hope.

  • @VenomD5 There are others. Cudi's going in the same direction as Kanye and the once-great Common, so for now I've left modern hip hop for the shores of blues and rock. I'll be back when someone else shows up.

  • @eS0UL Lupe is still good :)

  • @JStutz1025 I absolutely loved Food & Liquor and The Cool, but Lasers was a huge disappointment for me. That's part of the reason why I'm so glad that I found out about the Black Keys recently.

  • @eS0UL I agree thats exactly why i started branching out. and KC i havent heard fresh tracks from Talib, Mos or the Roots in a long while. And common is still good but after 8 albums he gets kind of old. Anyway not to take away from the Black Keys. Much respect there and good music on every album. Its good to know there are still lots of people who respect good music

  • @VenomD5 Nonsense. The Roots, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and others are carrying the torch just fine. You just have to dig a little harder these days.

  • @theKCRoyalty

It's still dismissive and disrespectful to count Cudi out.

  • @theKCRoyalty I love you, you just named my three favourite hip hop artists/groups. But when they stop making music ... who knows.

  • @eS0UL There's also others, like Common, Aesop Rock, Grieves, Atmosphere, Asheru, etc. but yeah......the next wave doesn't look so great.

  • @StephKath117 hater Cudi does the same thing as this band make music about life.

  • Just survived cancer this song helped me make it through alot of days i hope one day i can sing like this man ..... emotion is life and life is for the taking so go grab it because youll never know what kind of curveball will be thrown at you.

  • @StillzKills Wow, your comment made me see once again how powerful music can be sometimes! You are absolutely right my friend, live life to the fullest! It could be over before you know it. Good luck with everything and well done for not giving up ;) Greetings from Holland

  • Screw anyone who doesn't understand that emotion is what's most important in music. Becuase any idiot can be classically trained and technically know music.. but it's the people with SOUL that make it beautiful. Period. Love this song.

  • wow, beautiful

  • This is like a wake up call to your soul that life will be okay, we'll get through it. Thanks Dan and Patrick.

  • I haven't heard one song of theirs that I haven't loved

  • I have to disagree with you, @andrewcadabra. I think that this song has many emotions whether it is blues or not. The emotions off the song doesn't matter what the genre is but the lyrics, artist, and feel. I understand what you are saying but it's what people interperet it as, not what you do. To one person this may be a catchy, unmeaningful song. But to others this could be a piece of art. It is how people take it.

  • This is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

  • I FEEL IT! :' )

  • Excuse me, 5 comments....

  • If you have to take 4 comments to get your point across about why the song ISN'T good, you should probably save it and go somewhere else. Keys rule!

  • how can an amateur band get so famous, marketing--and the big void in todays music. There isnt nothing worth chasing anymore in music. This song is so lame. IO have heard 40 year of amazing music to arrive at this., All new generations ar e oblivious to critique no matter how salient the comments are .

  • @tele757

you my friend are an idiot of the highest degree. if this doesnt get you i dont know what does, maybe the black crowes lmao hahha dude they suck

  • @tele757 as long as i can fell the emotions contained in the song, it doesn't have to be complicated or completely original. They made it their own by singing their emotions. We as people have forgotten to find happiness in the small things and instead of making our own way in life we all live and want what everybody wants and what others consider good. So i don't really care if this song isn't original and complex, I like it.

  • @MrPaul0503 a brilliant comment sir, it takes some people a lifetime to arrive at the point you are making, for some it takes longer.

  • @uranderson Thanks for the appreciation.

  • @tele757 Why the fuck do you troll on the black keys videos if you hate them so much? You wouldnt know good if it bit you in the ass, so go fuck yourself you no talent hack go listen to your classic rock because you cant move on and realize whats good. Stupid motherfucking ass holes like you piss me off
