Although, from Dublin, when Wilde moved to London public record documents that his accent was leaning more to the fashionable British dialect and that he was incredibly flamboyant.
If you mean, homosexual, I suggest reviewing the legal trials Wilde endured and his responses via statements and letters. Many assumptions are made about gay people from the past. But with public figures like King James (1566-1625) and Wilde their work and life is public documentation and leaves little to assume.

Well...Even today if you are a Sen. married and with kids and ON PUBLIC RECORD saying you are NOT gay and you are busted in a men's room in Minn. it really does not matter what is written or spoken or denied.
In the future how the past be played out on stage. How will all the Rep. leaders who have been vocal saying on record "Men should have NO SEX outside of marriage to a woman." and later found to have a thing for young boy pages or are exposed by their drug dealing male hooker.

Well, is the "Married Senator with kids in Idaho" gay or at least did a gay act or wanted to....even though he publicly said he was NOT GAY. Public record means nothing when you are trying to save your job or ass. Look at Bill and Monica. Public record did not match the sperm on her dress...like Bush's lies have now cost us over 3000 American lives. It is all relative.
