  • why ever dislike this... you know more or less what you're going to get. Besides, after clicking for part 2, why would you also dislike the second? Insecurity problably.

  • You accept the bible like you accept Microsoft's Terms of Service

  • Why do these videos have so many dislikes??

Silly fundies and video quality snobs.

I'm going to have to thumb these all up as I watch them. :D

  • @mickeymouse12678 Most likely them fundamentalist creationists :P

  • "2:17" is that the "Dadeeeee Blodah!" kid?

  • I think the difference between humans and apes is that humans are more violent than apes. We even lock other apes up. We experiment and torture them and treat them incredible cruelty.

  • IF people come from monkeys, then WHY are there STILL monkeys!?

    think about that Einstien....

    ( kidding )

  • @Callirgos1 the great apes... not monkeys

  • Comment removed

  • @stride7860

    I was wondering that too.

  • That gorilla was clearly there to save....

  • Don't be so disrespectful to religious people, some people need faith to live in this world

  • @bumfree it's like the industrial revolution; people didn't like it at first, but when they saw the advantages, they knew it was for the better.

the advantages being: no superstition, grow in knowledge and curiosity, no false hopes, no hatred against large groups of other human beings, etc. , etc.

imagine the time people have used to pray. now imagine where we would be if they had done something useful with that time.

  • Cry some more Christians fairytale lovers Apes>Christians FACT

  • rise of the plants of the apes brought me here.

  • i think the difference between us and apes is that our kind can adapt quicker

  • this makes me feel stupid being religious

  • I do not get why creationists get all emotional and offended at the idea of sharing a common ancestor with these beings. Every time this topic comes up with creationists, I get the "My ancestor wasn't no dirty ape!" line.

Embrace the inner ape. It's not a bad thing.

  • @cujo55544 Wrong again, I'm no creationist, it's just that my common sense tells me we did NOT evolve from apes - we couldn't have, and a very very obvious (to me) point is that if we did, how come there are apes now, surely they would also have evolved to humans. Duh!!

Go back to the drawing board.

  • @Corrupt5358 Aw, someone doesn't understand how evolution works!

Hey, we also evolved from lobe finned fish (even further back). BUT Y R THERE STILL FISHEZ?

    Dumbass.

  • @cujo55544 Evolution is a wrong theory you idiot, fuck an ape and no baby will be born, are you just totally retarded?

For the LAST time - we DID NOT evolve from apes, we didn't evolve at all, we appeared from nowhere.

Now fuck off + stop wasting my time. I've shown u the light - u stay in the dark. Check up on chromosomes.

  • @Corrupt5358 It's amazing. You really don't comprehend things like genetic drift or speciation, do you? You literally have zero understanding of how evolution is supposed to work.

Either you really have to work to be this ignorant, or, as your absolutely ludicrous 'appeared from nowhere' claim suggests, you're an extremely unclever Poe.

  • @cujo55544 Die in ignorance quietly bitch! Alot of words from you and absolutely no proof - like this pointless documentary.

  • @cujo55544 The fact you believe in evolution at all shows your total ignorance of the subject. Gimme some proof how we came from nothing or shut your damn mouth.

  • @Corrupt5358 The evidence is right there in this wonderful documentary and many others. We share common behaviors, similar bodily structure, DNA, and common ancestors with modern apes.

  • @Corrupt5358 evolution has thousands of evidence, its a fact , and if you believe in god then where did he come from, stop acting stupid ;)

  • @LazaCDS You are the one who is stupid, you just prooved it lol. I don't believe in God you fool.

  • @LazaCDS Darwin's theory has already been prooved wrong you dumbass muthafucka. Where is YOUR evidence?

  • @Corrupt5358 comparative anatomy, genetic evidence, geographical distribution of animals and plants, thousands and thousands of fosills all in the right place, evolution is a fact son ;)

  • @LazaCDS if ur an atheist, go argue about whether God is real or fake somewhere else. I just want to enjoy the video.

  • @LazaCDS (even though I'm as Christian as the day is long)

  • @cujo55544 yeah...i find baby apes extremely cute.

  • Does anyone know why they only play a 1 second voice clip? surely the length of the clip has no relevance to the recognition skills. i think id only have an 80% success rate if i could only hear one second of someones voice

  • @BoxRoomStudio apes have a much more superior memory than humans. playing a one second voice clip is all the ape needs. and since it was a human/ape voice test, they were double checking the apes memorization abilities.

  • Baby Apes> baby humans

  • Jesus christ why didn't they put my 6 year old bro in this he's smarter than all of those children

  • why so many dislikes on these videos

  • @stride7860 brainwashed creationist fools!

  • @flashzanzi HELL YEAH! lol

  • @stride7860 cos sum assholes are jealous apes beat them in the IQ test

  • @stride7860 they're from creationists.

  • @stride7860 because people believe that there is such thing as god and become and ass about it

  • @stride7860 Hyper religious creationist I believe...

  • @stride7860 because of religious idiots..

  • @stride7860 said "Why so many dislikes on these videos?"

Creationists, feeling threatened by reality (imagine that) used a computer program called a votebot - voting robot - to dump fake Dislikes on these videos back in 2008. YouTube doesn't allow that now.

Click like on these videos to help drown out the religious fundamentalist dirty tricks!

  • @stride7860 creationists

  • @stride7860 Because it's lies lol, and most people can see that.

  • @Corrupt5358 I'm not sure if you're a troll, stupid, or a stupid troll

  • @stride7860 Neither, I'm an intelligent human compared to yourself, and have some clue what is going on. If you believe this embarassingly bas documentary, maybe you should just watch tele tubbies.

  • 8:35 stupid child

  • Killing apes should be just as bad as killing a human.

  • @lilsm555 dosent really madder... killing humans is alot more fun anyway

  • @lilsm555 agreed but in todays society if it doesn't look human act human or have the same genes/dna as a human then well kill it off

  • @DJTinez13 Most people dont acknowledge the fact that they are animals just intelligent ones. I think thats where it needs to start.

  • Well technically we are apes, but I see your point. I also find this statement very interesting. At what point in our tree of descendants would this moral statement end? Human > non human apes > monkeys all the way to the origin of mammals? What constitutes a life worthy of itself and one subject to untimely death?

  • @Harrymfink I know we are apes we are human apes.

  • That's like saying chimpanzee apes. This is beside the point. I'm more interested in the response to my question if you don't mind.

  • @Harrymfink i know what you are saying but do you suggest human life is more valuable then a chimp or any other animal? My point is we push intelligent animals hell almost any animal to brink of extinction and people need to stop. why do we need to treat other intelligent animals like dirt what if a alien species was more intelligent than us and they killed/enslaved us just because they can which is basically what we do. Just saying.

  • I guess I didn't get my question across. No, I know that all life has as much objective meaning as a rock. My question is if you feel apes should not be murdered, what about monkeys? If not monkeys what about dogs, cats, cows or any other mammalian descendants? When does it become alright to kill an animal to make a cheese burger for instance?

  • @Harrymfink I know what you are saying i really do i am a atheist but im saying i dont think life is meaningless we are just a piece of a huge puzzle called the universe and its unnecessary to push species to the brink of extinction. All life contributes on this planet IMO. I have no problem with hunting but people over hunt apes, there has to be moderation. Technically you are right as far as we know life is meaningless but all life contributes to the survival of other life.

  • So you agree with hunting non-human apes but what would you say about killing humans? Sticking to your argument it should be alright to moderate the most wide spread animal on earth, us. If you disagree please explain what separates us from them.

  • @Harrymfink WEll killing other humans doesn't solve anything we are a team its like us against the universe IMO. yes there should be moderation with everything, we over fish oceans now also.

  • So you do agree with weeding out human population for the sake of moderation then?

  • @Harrymfink No how you got that from what i was saying is insane, i think people should be moderate of how many children they have ive already said we are on the same team its us against universe basically. Whats the point of destroying each other from within. The way you are taking this is just as stupid as asking you why dont you take your life than if it has no meaning? it does have meaning to you, and you like living.

  • Haha? I'm just using your own arguments against you? You said "I have no problem with hunting but people over hunt apes, there has to be moderation." Then you said, "Killing apes should be just as bad as killing humans." A bit of inconsistency ehy? So using the former argument why not weed out the human population now which is over populated? In order for populations to rise so dramatically, technology must rise at a rate just above... it's not.

  • @Harrymfink You arent using your argument against me. Ive answered everything and they were completely reasonable you ran out of things you use against me so you dug real deep into randomness.

  • Randomness? I used your EXACT words. It's quite odd your stance on life changes on a monthly bases. Also, at the rate we are going, if every underdeveloped country consumes half as much as the U.S. we won't last very long at all. The environmental threshold is coming up quick. Where is your technology? Even if we did have the technology your not taking into account the period of time it takes to permeate into the collective knowledge. But that is a different discussion.

  • @Harrymfink Yes my opinion changes. Everyone opinion should change, unless you want to stay narrow minded. Who said this was my stance on life? lol i told you i just posted a comment and i put no thought into it months ago. I dont care if you dont agree with me but all life is equally as significant in my eyes and pushing a species to extinction is just moronic in so many ways, no life is more or less significant.Thats your personal opinion on technology and environment its not a fact.

  • Your argument is now that it is moral to "moderate" the population levels of different animals (completely opposed to your former argument). Assuming you feel that humans have just as much right to live as all non human animals wouldn't it follow to moderate human populations? If not I assume you feel we have an exceptional quality. What would that be?

  • @Harrymfink My argument is not moral. I feel like we have discussed this thoroughly already if you want to know what i think just read back at my posts. Nice talking to you.

  • Peoples opinions evolve using logic, hopefully, but they shouldn't change so much that they are inconsistent. Why should a vegan change his views if he feels strongly that we cant justify eating another animal? And the statistics for technology not advancing isn't an opinion, read a book called "Affluenza" or "Growth Without Prosperity" all the numbers you want are within. I'm disappointed that someone for whom I agreed with their initial statement turned out to be so inconsistent ethically.

  • @Harrymfink no statistics say technology isn't advancing. Im disappointing you keep asking so many foolish questions even though you already heard my opinion about it,shit who the hell are you anyway to say all life is not equally valuable. Inconsistent? you are a just coming off as a douche trying to twist my responses to fit w/e the hell game you are playing. I brought up moderation and you brought u p killing the population.

  • I didn't say technology was at a halt? In order to have a massive population boom you must have technology following along with it. Big difference. I've been playing devil's advocate to try and spur debate. I myself believe that life is equally valueless rather the equally valuable. So who am I to subject death unto another organism. Which is what I was under the impression you felt. But you keep flipping back and forth so this dialogue has been a bit of a waste of time.

  • @Harrymfink Well obv i flipped back and forth from my original post which was 3 months ago. But i dont feel like i flipped back and forth at all moderation doesn't involve killing the human population.

  • @Harrymfink we have reached the peak of technology. tech NO LOGIC. some of the technology we have has prevented us from evolving, the next step of this is spiritual evolution, quantum physics dilemma. the MOMENT physicists have strong enough evidence that it exists. we will have to move on to an advanced nano technology. this will be the cause of our extinction. advancement is just around the corner/coroner.

  • Wow.. Well man, you're way out there aren't you? First off, there is not such thing as spiritual evolution. I'm not sure what the hell that is even supposed to mean. Secondly, there isn't a quantum physic problem. The problem is finding a Unified Theory of Physics to put everything together. M theory is popular right now but honestly I don't no much about it, and I would bet nor does any lay person. I admire your doom and gloom sense of personality, but it seems misguided and uninformed.

  • @Harrymfink honestly like you said, "you dont know much about it". just like those who think galileo was crazy or those who believed the world was flat. experiments have been done since the 80's. but the ancients have been doing it long before us. now its coming into place when history will repeat itself and scientists are plausible after years and years of research and documentation. how can you say shit when you do not know much about it? dumbfounded is all i can say to you when you found out.

  • Derp.

  • @Harrymfink good luck with that my friend.

  • @lilsm555 Actually it's worse considering most of them are endangered.

  • @lilsm555 fuck humans. we should train apes to kill humans considering apes are several times more powerful then gaymans

  • @lilsm555 totally agree with you there mate

  • what a stupid six year old...

  • Are the apes and the children the same age? Because that is going to be a huge determining facter. A chimp who has lived 13 years is obviusly going to be able to outwit a 5 month old human.

  • @f00tstep

I don't think that's important at all.. If a mature chimp were exactly the same as say an 8yr old - I would still be fucking amazed!!

  • @SubtleChaotic Well in an exparement involving living things it's always good to keep them close to the same age otherwise the comparasin isn't as significant.

  • @f00tstep

You mean like when you're trying to assess the similarities between animals and plants, it's really really important to make sure the tree is the same age as the beaver.

  • @SubtleChaotic I was talking more about intellectual comparison of amimals. But if we were comparing plants, animals and fungi it would be better if they were all matured. However this whole thing would change if we were studying the development of organisms because it's rare that two differant species grow at exactly the same rate.

  • @f00tstep

Yeah yeah. But all we want to do with this experiment is see "how much like humans apes (chimpanzees) are".

If we found that mature chimpanzees were exactly the same as human babies (intellectually or whatever) - that would one fucking successful experiment!! We don't need to be told that this doesn't mean that when he's a grandpa he'll (chimp) be like a mature human.. or anything else.

  • @SubtleChaotic I guess that's true but I would like to know how mature chimps compare to humans at least at the age of 21.

  • @f00tstep

True. Actually I think we've both completely missed the point. These experiments tested cognitive abilities, and these develop at different times across individuals of a species, and (if both species share them) different points in development across species. If you want to test whether my kid and your kid will both be able to do some particular thing at adult hood, to test it you have wait until they both have it..! Eg. "concept of mind" -we don't develop until.. (4 years-ish?).

  • @SubtleChaotic True, but even at 4 years we don't apply them very often. Humans usualy learn to expand our thought process near the age of 6 when we enter school and start tosocialize more. Chimps start this kind of thinking much earlier because they arn't tought things or coddled by their parents. Still you rais a good point.

  • @f00tstep

True. Important thing for the Concept of Mind in particular though, is the fact that you either have it, or you don't. You're either aware of other people's mind-states, or you're not. -I think it's possibly the most important, most notable, thing apes share with us.

However you do develop that concept in socially, I guess. But the "extent" to which we (us and chimps) exhibit certain things isn't a big deal for me, you either got it or yah don't. If yah got it, you're similar to me.

  • @SubtleChaotic I guess thats true. But it would be nice to hear some avrages though.

  • Human Rights have to be extended to apes. They are truly our relatives.

  • I thought orangutans were the least related ones, that had least common DNA

  • god that researcher is sexy.. being human is fun

  • We're definitely better looking :)

  • Here's the thing about creationists and evolutionists. I'm a Muslim myself, but I believe in evolution. I believe that Adam and Eve were the first true humans, like Homo Ergaster. And them not being BORN, is probably a metaphor for their new age of humanity suddenly making a dramatic change. Maybe God just set a single-celled organism into this planet, and let evolution do the work. Can't that be possible?

  • @Tazy50 The problem with that idea is that Homo Ergaster existed 1.7-2.5 millions years ago, when there were many different species of early humans around. That species went on to form many other species of extinct Hominids, including Neanderthal man, which only went extinct approx 28,00 years ago.

Also Hominids at that time would likely still appear to be animals to us, unable to perform the cognitive tasks described in the Old Testament or Quran. They were not humans.

  • And then came back millions of years later to tell people about it? Kind of a asshole God he would be for not making his presence known a little earlier.

  • If chimps are self aware then killing them should be considered murder.

  • @PhreakStep well, i would say that killing any animal is murder...

  • Creationists are giving impression that chimps evolved from us :S

  • I don't like the approach of this film, altough I find it really intresting. Why it's so important for us finding the differencese between apes and us. i think that between us and gorillas, for exemple, there are just the same differencese that exist between chimpanzees and gorillas. Every ape has his specialization. This flm remember me the colonialist approach that early 20th century anthropogist used in studying african poupolation. A comparative approach, white-centered and racist.

  • as i am watching this video on my human made computer sitting on my human made chair in my human made house in this human shaped world, i too am wondering, how are we different than apes?

  • @liameppes You can't use tecnhology level to choose who is better. If you do this, you could also say that white euro-american man is far better than people who lives in a natural environment without your PC, your house or your chair

  • wait arent children also at danger the moment there born? not just apes

    ?????

  • This has low ratings but a justin bieber video has millions of views. This is what's wrong with our world.

  • Dang baby chimps are so freaking cute I wish I could have one and teach him how to play basketball with me and my brothers. He will be like our brother and if anyone makes fun of us we will just say "Quit it."

  • @TommyTonic10 youre a fag

  • @TorsoManza Quit it...

  • Yes. Kindness, they share that. As well as the capacity to rip off your face if they find you distasteful.

  • I really hope u guys know that a lot of the christians DO believe in evolution x)

  • So what's the difference between humans & all other primates? A rather large frontal cortex.

  • humans are curios , even extremly curious

    we have interest in everything

  • The biggest difference is humans build bigger and begger weapons to kill more and more poeple, humand destory everything leaving a wasteland.

  • @cyclenut

I doubt that animals wouldnt do the same if they had the same level of intelligence, considering its in an animals nature to want to come out on top.

  • @cyclenut Chimpanzees would use guns if they knew how.

  • @KenMacMillan As Charlton Heston once said, "A PLANET WHERE APES EVOLVE FROM MAN!?"

  • Maybe they will share bananas with Ray Comfort.

  • @mrbatmaxx you are right, homo sapiens is the only extant species on the homo branch.

but when you say "there isn´t one single fossil" you are kidding, right? there are lots of them, so maybe you should educate yourself..

for your last question... what? we evolve all the time, meaning all life is strictly speaking transitional

  • i now know what it means when someone goes ape shit

  • Orangs are my favorite! They're so easygoing.

  • kind of a dumbed down show but hey its good

  • man i love this video lol sick...

  • 5:14 WTF XD?

  • Humans are much crueler and more selfish than any other animal! I think our society is very much controlled by psychopaths and sociopaths who want everyone to lose their empathy and normal healthy connection with others as well. We're on a self destructive road IF there is no real change for the better soon. It is getting too late. Humans are VERY easy, too easy, to program into being whatever the people in power want them to be. If they want us to be selfish and cruel then that's what we will be.

  • The human faces are harder to tell apart than the ape faces, just putting that out there.

  • @aronchai I couldn't tell, because 1 second seems too short =L

  • one question for all you athiests how did the universe come by gasses rite well where did the gasses come if you have an answer of what cuased the gasses where did that come from , i rest my case

  • you could ask that exact question of god.........

  • @mgmga1 And you argue God popped out of nowhere?

  • I have no problem with creatism but evolution and creation are not necessarily mutually exclusive. Those who are more adaptable to an environment will survive and have offspring that has the survivalists' genes. Over the course of a million/billions (proven by uranium/carbon dating) years, this change will exemplify. The term species is a coined term by scientist and does not mean its impossible to form new species form one species. (which happens as phenotype changes over time)

  • @Elrundz I'm not disagreeing with your comments here, just want to point out that carbon dating is only used for smaller measurements of time, it's peak at around 60,000 years. While the Parent-sister isotopes like uranium-lead are used for millions/billions. Just pointing that out for the Creationists that will eventually come along saying Carbon dating doesn't account for an old earth (which it doesn't). They can make a big stink about what they don't understand, don't wanna confuse them.

  • If there is an "Almighty God" who is perfect why did he make such a flawed design, our human body? And if we were made in his image- mind , spirit and body... Does that mean he isn't perfect? And if God knows all, why did he tell Adam to not eat from the tree, knowing that he would? Does that make God a sadist?

  • I wanted just to answer your Adam and the tree question ... how Adam will recongnize he is faulty if he does not experiment his fault himself... I mean if God punished him and told him I punish you because you WOULD eat from the forbiden tree it will be not just... but God is just.

  • Rburd26, the creation story in Genesis is just a copy of an older creation story from the Sumerians. It's called the Enuma Elish and it sounds a lot like the Genesis story because the Hebrews copied their story from the Enuma Elish.

What you read in the Bible has nothing to do with God. People who've had near death experiences talk about an incredible sense of peace, love and acceptance when they met God or the Goddess.

He, she, it or they, however you want to refer to God.

  • @rburd26 well adam never ate from that tree. imbecile. it was eve that did. keep reafding the bible you might gain some intelligence. and yes god is perfect. it is mankind that is not. which is why eve ate from the tree. and by the way he did not mean that literally. he meant that we were put on this earth to build it up , then ultimately destroy it...

  • @choirguy210 "When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it"

    Just sayin

  • @underpantsjihad correct. now do you know who told her to eat it?

  • @rburd26

You just pwnd that whole religion.

  • @rburd26 provided the judeo christian god does in fact exist and is all powerful and all knowing, how could we possibly think we could understand the motives of a being so far beyond ourselves

  • @UniteForgetLeftRight If that being exists to begin with. Saying it exists is like saying it doesn't exists.

  • @rburd26 he said that so he could test him to see what he would do

  • @rburd26 flawed?? where? god? where? x

  • @rburd26 you're reading into it too much. besides i don't see why you discuss god in a video that that explores the differences between apes and humans.

  • @rburd26 no it makes H-M a G-d that gives freedom to our choice thats why theres hell and heaven

  • very interesting video. 5 star!!

  • ad hominems don't contribute to a debate, randombackwash. Try racking your brain a little more; it isn't that hard.

  • the sequence of moves that ape had to follow during the three cups experiment was far more easier than the one the two year was exposed to.

  • Indeed it was, coincidentally, it was also a demonstration

  • votebotteddddddd

  • religious have down rated this

  • @newfagscanttrif0rce I read ya... WINK.

    NUDGE

    I read ya.

    *wink

  • wow lol I love your comment! You have been smoted!

  • So were does Chewbacca fit into all this?

  • @emperorzong

Han Solo's mom got knocked up a bonobo ape right after he was born, and thats where chewie came from. They pass him off as a wookie cause its embarrassing and all, but tell me where you've seen a wookie other than chewbacca? Thats what I thought.

  • Why didn't they mix the tests with males and females?

  • There maybe no God, stop worrying and enjoy your life.

    These Chimpz are so smart.

  • Wow, these apes are a lot smarter than a lot of christians I know haha x]

  • @daccord1

From this video, I got "wonders of life and incredible intellectual abilities of the apes."

What did you get? How to mock people?

  • @daccord1 My dog is smarter than ALL religious people, lol.
