i agree with Godard i personally believe everyone should got thru a backround check. Sure ppeople will still find a way to get them but it will make it considerably more difficult.Plus law abiding citizens should still have no problems.
Police aren't always trained professionals. They crack under pressure, but are still forced to carry handguns. If someone is going to freeze with my life in the balance, I would atleast prefer it was me, so that noone could be blamed. Cops aren't security guards to everyone, they are just there to be reactionaries.
thought i would shout out that colin is a family member of mine, and so you know what i have to say back to this video. colin is one of the strongest guy i know and i bet he's stronger then anyone else you know. how many people do you know that have survived 4 gun shots?
@holdonxme , Im sorry that your family had to deal with what happened, at no time did I ever question Colin's strength. Being a veteran of two conflicts I can honestly say yes i do know people who have been put in that same situation and have recovered, but it is rare and usually takes a strong faith and will to get through the psychological as well as physical damage. The only disagreement I have is with the general idea that more gun laws will decrease gun crime.
Damn this is some racies crap the day after the shooting since I'm asian i went to school a teacher asked me if i was gonna go shoot at the school. Damn when americans were blaming me left to right because i was asian when american do a crime people don't reallie care but when another race dosen't it's saying the person race considers every person as a enemy.
Goddard is your typically well intentioned but misguided young person. His ilk is rampant among the universities. I can go buy a car from some joe shmo and turn around and run down a bunch of pedestrians. It's the same principle. Intent is everything.
Amen Bro criminals dont follow the Law Tech was a gun free zone . A place where he know no one could shot back its so sad that so many ppl think the gun is doing the killing when its the person behind it that is killing . Its a tool like a hammer or hell a car they both kill ppl so why not say hammers need big reg ?
@jaay334 Well, cars are pretty regulated when you think about it. During a drivers test, you sit in a car with a police officer and prove you can operate it. The same is not true with a gun.
There are far more murders in America with firearms than there are with hammers, so to even make that equivalence is silly.
i hear you man criminals do not follow the law and if everyone isnt allowed to protect themselves then no one will. Cops dont arrive at the split second when something is happening.
Thats crap. when people are put into such spur of the moment violent situations, your brain doesnt react like you'd think it would. You make mistakes, you freeze, there's many different personality types u can't assume everyone will react the same way & sitting on a couch with a gun it might seem a little different but its not like in the movies. Its something even the most trained experts mess up so owning a gun would help about as much as that cell phone. Also Cho followed the law to a tee....
You are correct, when unprepared people are put into stressful violent situations they will most always freeze. I dont reccomend that each person carry a gun. Only prepared/trained ones, I do KNOW through experience (20+ yrs of service) that people who train, fall back on their instincts and training when faced with these situations. And yes there are mishaps even with trained professionals, but rarely. I would rather be able to defend myself than hope for good reception and fast response time.
Hello. Not that I have anything against background checks, but in the video "Armed Citizens: Calling 911 Doesn't Always Work" posted by YouTube user DaveLoneRanger, a friend of the woman being stalked by a guy she met purchased a gun on the same day (morning) of the incident in the video (occurred in the evening). What would people like Colin Goddard think of this victim's friend's action of purchasing a firearm in such an emergency and without a background check?

@psychovideo To add to that, it doesn't necessarily mean that people won't die if someone had a gun on them.
This is just a response by someone who is just trigger happy and who most likely despises big government.

If you listened to the content, what is being asked is that Gun shows be Required to get background checks & paperwork! Goddard is asking only this.
