  • im too lazy to look up all the facts but i think Mira moved to England at a young age to study. I think Ruben and Daniel DJed at the same club and that how they knew each other. Mira met them there and Helen joined the band last. The lead singer of a band called Techno Squirrels sang the lead vocals for He Took Her To A Movie before she left to form that band. Just remember not to quote me on this cause im not 100% sure about this info

  • Are there copies available with that other singer on He took Her to a Movie?

  • i think you misinterpreted what i said. the album version is the version sung by Lisa Eriksson (Techno Squirrels lead singer). A version with Mira or Helen singing it has not been recorded in studio, at least not that i know of, but they do sing it live. Their more recent performances of the song has a faster beat to the album version.

  • I really didn't know that, for some reason. Makes me wonder how I never noticed it either, or heard about it. Interesting.

  • Actually, Rueben and Daniel are both from Liverpool and DJed together, eventually touring Europe and Japan. While touring, they met Mira on a train in Bulgaria, though she did live in England (I guess she was visiting family). She had done DJ work as well, so they formed Ladytron. Helen did come into play last, as a friend-of-a-friend of Daniel's convinced her to do vocal work for them.

  • you're off

    Helen Marnie - Scottish

    Ruben Wu - British (Liverpool)

Are you sure, that she's from Bulgaria?

  • Yes but she lives in London since... way back, I don't know when.
