  • This movie was most excellent.

Did anyone else notice that the bearded roller skaters were on display, framed atop the piano at Bart's home?

Also, Dr. T's giant encyclopedia's featuring each degree of solfeg were hilarious.

  • I just noticed... the guards had GUNS in their pockets...

  • The real Dr. Seuss, Theodore Dreisel, made an appearance at my friend's Graduate School graduation. When he earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology.

This friend was accepted at Cornell University, and he graduated in 1980.

    My nephew plays the violin.

  • Trippiest 50's movie ever. By far.

  • I'm so glad I found this movie. Although I could've sworn I saw this in B&W. Was there a B&W version of this film?

  • @aresye Not that I have been able to turn up, but if I can find it we will be sure to put it on CrackleDotCom!

  • @aresye Perhaps you saw it on a black and white set?

  • OMG I remember this movie!!

  • Oh god, I love this movie so much.

  • When ever I described the peices of this weird movie left in my memories to people old enough to have seen it they thought I was dilousional. who was really delusional.

  • ron paul

  • I couldn't remember the title of this movie for the longest time. Now that I know and remember what i saw when i was 8. I understand why I never learned the piano.

  • Sticking commercials in youtube vids is bad enough, but who decided to tack a 2012 trailer onto a Dr. Seuss movie? >;P

  • 'E-LEC-trified!'

That used to creep me out O_o

  • dont be a fool and waste your mighty munch thirst of hungry and feall selfish think of the aftermath haha just thought of something !!!!?brain dead im sorry!!!!?

  • I love this movie! I can't believe they have it, it has been so hard to find. I'm glad I finally found it.

  • some people can ive seen it, like charles trippy!

  • I'd like to see Jumanji on here

  • I believe you have to get permission to upload a video beyond set time of youtube videos. I could be wrong though, I read that on someone else's video..

  • wow i havent seen this movie since i was 9

  • also... this movie is totally... out there. aye great stuff so corny XD so good!

  • luls. at 30:00 is the start of the most incredible fight scene ever.

  • I think the guy that plays Dr. T also plays captain hook in peter pan. They do sound the same.

  • alot of old movies starred alot of the same people. just like how the girl who plays wendy from peter pan also plays alice from alice in wonderland :D

  • He also played Horton in the 1970 cartoon version of "Horton Hears a Who!" and the Grinch in "Halloween is Grinch Night".

  • I love this movie! Unfortunately it bombed at the box office, people didn't know what to think of it, and Seuss tried to forget he ever helped make it. If only he lived long enough to learn how it was rediscovered and considered one of Hollywood's best fantasies.

If there's any movie that perfectly shows us the relationships between kids and adults and the way all child dreams work, this is it.

  • That's the whole reason I count this as a Dr. Seuss movie.

  • OMGG did anyone else notice at the dungeon non piano scene on 00:50:10 that the hand on the dungeon sign is giving the middle finger ahahahahahha gotta love hidden inuendos <3

  • lol i saw that ROFL

  • This should be called "the narcissistic adventures of a 7 year old piano student"

But i guess that's not commercial enough.

  • jun 3 1953?!?!! utubes been on that long!?!?!?!

  • no. thats when the movie came out.

  • I hate this it keeps skipping and stopping at random places! Any one else have this problem?

  • lol Yup Same. The hell is wrong with this.

  • this not working for anyone else?

  • I can't get it to work either, can somebody help?

  • that executioner will haunt me...

  • i think this kid is narcoleptic

  • Running an Army Ad before this movie is an Epic FAIL

  • I never saw nor heard of this Dr. Seuss film. Fantastic. The guy who plays the plumber sounds like the guy who sang the orginal "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch". Fantastic. I'm amazed at how big and elaborate those sets are. Especially, since this movie was made way before the CGI age.

  • Some trivia for you. The guy who sang "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch" was the voice for Tony The Tiger. "Theyyyyrrr'e GRRREAT!"

  • the guy who sang it was Thurl Ravenscroft, who voiced the second tony the tiger, the original voice for tony the tiger was Dallas McKennon.

  • He also sings "Grim Grinning Ghosts" for the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. The singing bust that looks a bit like Walt Disney/Vincent Price? That's him :D

  • Thanks for stopping by folks, we love hearing from you!
