When ever I described the peices of this weird movie left in my memories to people old enough to have seen it they thought I was dilousional. who was really delusional.
I couldn't remember the title of this movie for the longest time. Now that I know and remember what i saw when i was 8. I understand why I never learned the piano.
dont be a fool and waste your mighty munch thirst of hungry and feall selfish think of the aftermath haha just thought of something !!!!?brain dead im sorry!!!!?
I believe you have to get permission to upload a video beyond set time of youtube videos. I could be wrong though, I read that on someone else's video..
alot of old movies starred alot of the same people. just like how the girl who plays wendy from peter pan also plays alice from alice in wonderland :D
I love this movie! Unfortunately it bombed at the box office, people didn't know what to think of it, and Seuss tried to forget he ever helped make it. If only he lived long enough to learn how it was rediscovered and considered one of Hollywood's best fantasies.
If there's any movie that perfectly shows us the relationships between kids and adults and the way all child dreams work, this is it.
OMGG did anyone else notice at the dungeon non piano scene on 00:50:10 that the hand on the dungeon sign is giving the middle finger ahahahahahha gotta love hidden inuendos <3
I never saw nor heard of this Dr. Seuss film. Fantastic. The guy who plays the plumber sounds like the guy who sang the orginal "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch". Fantastic. I'm amazed at how big and elaborate those sets are. Especially, since this movie was made way before the CGI age.
He also sings "Grim Grinning Ghosts" for the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland. The singing bust that looks a bit like Walt Disney/Vincent Price? That's him :D
This movie was most excellent.
Did anyone else notice that the bearded roller skaters were on display, framed atop the piano at Bart's home?
Also, Dr. T's giant encyclopedia's featuring each degree of solfeg were hilarious.

The real Dr. Seuss, Theodore Dreisel, made an appearance at my friend's Graduate School graduation. When he earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology.
This friend was accepted at Cornell University, and he graduated in 1980.
My nephew plays the violin.

I'm so glad I found this movie. Although I could've sworn I saw this in B&W. Was there a B&W version of this film?

Sticking commercials in youtube vids is bad enough, but who decided to tack a 2012 trailer onto a Dr. Seuss movie? >;P
