i work for empire construction. we cleaned out a couple houses on river street and also rebuilt a foundation under one house. my boss did all the work for free, while there were other companies taking advantage of people when they were at there worst. i hope to never see something like this happen again.
my landlord was freaked the fuk out and pad locked me out of my house for 3 weeks ,had to stay with my 3 kids at a friends a few towns over.due to there act of lockin all our stuff up all my furniture was destroyed mold had grown prfusley all over every thing even the wood floor,my place vandelized and stuff stolen .
mr p came back from his trip lost all his stuff and money was stolen and he had to stay at the union hall. in the first week of july that man cried on my shoulder " we have poisoned sidney ,shit is goonna hit the fan . he was in tears. i had at that point known mr p, for 4 years as i once lived in his building before moving on to sherman ave near the union hall
THE WATER WAS AMPHENOL BACKWASH mixed with polluted river water cause oneonta sewers was pumped in the river during the flood . as well this water also co mingled with mirabito fuel group products .all this flooded amphenol and washed up sherman ave. a water main broke on the steet behind me and acted as a turbine and mixed all that toxic shit up good,it then pooled there for 2 to 3 days allowing it to seep down into the water table and right back in to the river...
well i lived real close to amphenol .i lived half way down sherman ave and had water fill my basement and up to about about ankle deep. alot of stuff was lost like appliances .but what really sucked was worse is that alot of stuff got ruined due to mold,FEMA does not cover mold damage. but the biggest thing was this our steert was not even told to evacuate until 4 am june 28th. there were a lot of elderly people on that street.but that water that washed up our street from amphenol was TOXIC
Im a firefighter in Sidney and that was one of the craziest things I've ever seen in my entire life. A bunch of guys in the dept lost their houses from this. I hated seeing so many people lose everything they had.
Yeah that really sucked!!!! it messed up so much of sidney and around sidney!!!! my dad works there.... and it ruined so much houses like downtown.... i love on a hill in sidney so it never hit me on east main street!!!!
I actually worked there. My parents and a lot of friends work there also. I live just a couple blocks away from there, but the water didn't reach up near my house, so when the flood hit, I was able to walk down there and take this video clip so they could see it.

I hope we never get a flood again, I hope Amphenol puts up a concrete wall or something to prevent it from happening again
