  • I never bothered to watch this show until I heard that the American Ambassador to Canada hated it. Now that I seen it, I love it

  • I get the humor but at the same time I get so frustrated watching it because I know some white people ARE this ignorant. I hope it helps to educate those people while providing a positive media view of Muslim life (even if it is the sitcom-style version).

  • I love this show, but a muslim who would leave salat, just because of a noise is unbelievably stupid.

  • This episode was a little over the top, but the comedy and storyline gets SOO much better as the show progresses

  • ok trying to integrate people is a good idea but this just is not funny, not funny at all, really not funny, I did not laugh once, this is worse than Dharma and Greg. I will never watch this again

  • I love it. I find it hilarious because this show depicts most of the misconceptions that muslims and people in general have about each other's religions. It's meant to be satire, not to be taken as it is, because let's be real - nobody would do half the things that happens here in real life. It's meant to exaggerate the situations that do occur and put them in a funny light for everyone to enjoy, muslims alike. It's not "ruining" anything. People need to stop judging and loosen up.

  • The show is fucking satire. Of course it's not shocking for Canadians to see Muslims practicing their religion. It's merely making fun of the cliche that westerner's aren't up to date with other religions. Dude you seriously have to loosen up and not take everything on TV at face value.

  • Amen

  • i've been laid up and watching tv for 2 yrs and have never knew this existed.very universal theme.

  • wat a shitty show im so pissed at that (not bein a racist) white guy who thought they were terrorists i mean like come fuckin on im muslim that show fuckin pisses me off im srry but its true whoeva made this show dosnt no wat islam teaches us muslims!!1

  • =/ It was in the sitcom to show racism against Muslims exists, and done very nicely. They showed racists people, and people who were very accepting. And then they go on to show that the overwhelming majority of Muslims are really just normal people...

And as for Baber and the idols thing...come on, there are people like that in all religions. When I watch Reba, and Barbara Jean freaks out about the paganism in Halloween, I don't go "OMG ALL CHRISTIANS ARE LIKE THAT!"

  • Race and religion are seperate things. Being afraid of, or opposed to, a religion is not "racist". Muslims are not a "race".

  • Sorry, lets use religious discrimination instead.

  • lol he's like american idol and canadian idol ,all idlos must be smashed i was lmfao!!!!!! he made a bad impression on muslims

  • this show is funny...but muslims doesn't acting that weird in real life, i hope people who watching get it!

  • ok ok...i agree this show is funny, but i hope that people who watching understand that muslims doesn't acting that weird in real life!

  • It's pretty much like this in any sitcoms, the characters act weird when it's not really like that in real life.

  • Ok..ok it's funny, i agree, but i hope people who watching doesn't think that muslims acting that weird in real life!

  • i am a muslim and i find it funny... i think you guys need to let loose a little.. peopel are killing kids and stealing money from poor and you get pissed off because they make a joke about american idol and destroying idols?

  • this shows bullshit, thats not what islam teaches, and thats not what a muslim is. dont base your opinions on iuslam after watchign this crap. thank you havea nice day.

  • Yeah this show is pretty crappy, and overall really bad. I hate Canadian television, the CBC makes whatever they want regardless of what people actually like to watch. Too bad there are restrictions on American content up here, and quotas on American media in Canada.

  • You're right about the Canadian content being subpar, and I also agree to some extent about Canadian execs just making whatever they want. But that statement indictating you want MORE american content is a pretty sad, colonized way to look at things. Shouldnt you want to make your own shows better?

  • No wonder Americans laugh at this country and call it America junior. Frankly, its pathetic. Its guys like you that run ctv and global. Most patriots wish there were better shows but MORE Canadian shows, you just want a steadier diet of USA. Wow. Might be time to cut out the middle man and just move to the states, no?

  • Yeah this show is pretty crappy and boring. I hate Canadian television. Too bad there are restrictions on American content and quotas on American media up here.

  • Yes, but the imaam at a mosque certainly wouldn't. But this series is just a parody, it can't be taken as something that reflects reality.

  • uh yea they do kiss each other sometimes, it really depends on where you are

  • Muslim women and men don't even kiss each other...this movie is full of bias.
