  • Fuck U2. I wanted to think of something better but that summed it up.

  • I love how eddie is running around like a crazy person. how can you not run around like a crazy person playing this song.

  • Eddie is the man but fact is all VH's killer tunes are on the the DLR albums, the rest dont compete. 79-84 that's the real shit and this tune is just one of many, genius

  • F yeah Dave!!!

  • go back to wireless Edward.

  • @1pick2sticks I wonder if that was just Eddie getting the "way back feel", playing old school

  • @20carrocks

He used cables on the 04 tour with Sammy Hagar too. He was always wrestling with it, tripping on it. It would get caught on something and he would yank it. The Cable/Ed interaction took away from the show.

  • Ed was drunk

  • Fuck U2!! how the hell can you compare anybody in U2 to VAN HALEN?!! they have not innovated the guitar like Eddie cannot drum like ALEX and is no performer like DIAMOND DAVE!!! WTF??!!

  • Yeah ed was obviously enjoying vegas a bit in this clip. But it's great hearing the classic VH songs that were missing during the van hagar era.

  • how many years did they play this tune night after night......? noticed that he slowed down some of the parts......but it doesn`t matter, he is the only one who knows how to write great melodies and Dave knows exactly how to make it sound complete....

  • ace the porkchop sideburns,dave..sounds pretty good..

  • Wow Ed, pick a key, any key, and stay in it.

  • No shit. What happened to Ed? That was pretty fucking bad. Especially the opening part. He was all over the place. VH can't compare to U2 live. U2 sounds BETTER live than recorded in the studio where as VH , now anyways, sucks live. Ed has destroyed himself with booze. It's a shame to because he USED to be THE GOD of guitar but now...not so much.

  • give em a break its been 20+ years

  • LOL, VH rules long before and will long after U2. I've worked stage for both and I do like U2, but they do not own VH. Believe your little falsehoods. I really don't care. VH rules. Plain and simple. Like you SIMPLE. LOL.

  • lol...you think that's bad - I saw the Greensboro show where the pre-taped keyboards to "Jump" were a 3/4 a step lower than the guitars...for the entire song!

Seriously though, Ed was obviously drunk in that video. Too bad.

  • U SUCK

  • so many haters!

  • Well, they are getting old and Eddie can't shred as fast a he used to. The mind does not think as fast at that age. But, none the less, they are touring together and Wolfie, gets to play on stage with one of the greats of Rock and Roll, How many kids can say that. At least Eddie did not kit the bucket before he and is son could bond/Jam on stage together. He/Eddie has left his son a legacy. Where Have All the Good Times Gone, lost in the 80's decade I guess. Salute.

  • man no offence but it sounds like shit at the start man sounds out of tune possibly

  • im about 90 percent sure that they didnt play this in cincinnati

  • They didn't for like half the tour (end mostly)

  • i havent got to see any of the 2007/08 tours.did see vh live in the 80's,thank god for u tube

  • this is before eddie got sober

  • What is sad that you David Lee Roth haters can't accept that the ORIGINAL VAN HALEN WAS/IS the best. GO to cabo waboo and drink with sammy and Michael Anthony. I saw the original VH in 84 at Freedom Hall in Louisville. It was the best concert I've ever seen. Got pix form Eddie and Mike. Front row. The experience of a lifetime. STOP HATIN JUST ROCK OUT WITH US.

  • roths outfit looks like captain crunch

  • hahaha gotta love him

  • 3:37 ..i get the goosebumps everytime

  • Eddie just raped a very good song. Out of tune, so happy I stayed home and saved some money. He should have stopped, changed guitars and then tried again....... or better yet, waited until after the show to sip Sammy's tequila. I like Eddie, but this time he is walking out of the bathroom with a line of tissue paper coming out of his pants.

  • i saw them the other night ABND IT WAS FUCKING GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, this performance was quite sketchy.. It was amazing at the Portland show though

  • Sammy!!! I liked sammy the dude is 60 brother damn and Sam dont need the money thats for sure after he sold half his TQ factory Sam is sittin easy and jammin away!! However, yea I agree Bro Dave and Ed are ripped and hey Al man is still beatin the shit out of the drums not missin a beat, and his son is doing a great job and will only get better for Ed life is great, now to keep him healthy!! Mentally TOO!I cant wait till Ed hits 5150 and starts writing with Dave again!!Magic anyone??Peace!!

  • im wit ya on dat 1

  • I love that the VH original lineup is back together touring and kicking ass like the old days....but man, it's kinda sad to compare this version to the young ass-kickers in the early 80s....esp. on this upbeat song....Dave would be doing split jumps off the drum riser while Eddie was running all over the stage doing "Flying Eddie" jumps.....fuck, getting old is a real bitch.

  • A Man!!! I agree!! It SUCKS! Growth Hormone for all!! HGH!!

  • Shit man...whatever it takes...if juicing up will get these guys jumping off drum risers again then I'm all for it. Just watch the "Unchained" video from Oakland '81....Dave nailed a 12-ft. vertical leap off Al's drum platform -- how fucking insane is that?!? Classic Van Halen was just too fucking cool...I cherish those memories forever.

  • Dave might be old but he still can kick the shit out alot of people if need be lol I was there 84 cincin ohio they were and still are bad ass!!

  • Nothin' but the truth! That's why I crush all these dickwads in here who say Dave is old and washed up...meanwhile, they can barely peel their fat ass off the couch to waddle over to the kitchen for another box of Krispy Kremes. For fuck's sake, Dave is 53 and he still looks like he spends 3 hrs. a day at the gym! I guess it's all the bitter Spammy lovers...they realize the REAL Van Halen is back for good and their Red-Rocked hero is a fat old retard playing half-filled dinner theaters...LOL!

  • xcept mike

  • it sounds like someone gave him an out of tune guitar and he had to kinda modulate

  • ed is my role model towards music and my favorite guitarist of all time. its sad to see his playing is going down the drain. he still has the musical genius that very few people in the world have but he is becoming very very sloppy. i suppose it is his age, or maybe drinking, but...

  • Dude, Ed is fucked. Most of the tour he has been fine, but towards the end he has gone to hell. He is clearly fucked up here.

  • he is sober you idiot they reskeduled the concert i wnt to from mar. 24 to may 25 bekuz of the whole rehab rumor

  • Well that sucked hairy bull nuts

  • no dis-respect to ed, but he totally stuffed up the intro.

  • That sounded like shit. Ed's gotta be shitfaced.

  • Dave's singing isn't so bad on this. I'll bet it would sound just fine if you were there in person. Great f*ing song.

  • I hope they release new music.

  • It always amazes me how people can watch something with the audio and video quality of the average youtube video and then be so judgemental.

  • Ed's drunk.

  • the greatest band since led zeppelin full stop but this tour's a farce, dave's only back for the paycheque to me,it's a shame

  • You are a fuckin idiot, this tour is just fine. They are friends you asshole. God you are such a moronic kid.

  • friends...well,money talks and bullshit walks.david's a jew,don't forget that

  • David is a jew- a jew that can kick your gentile ass!

  • nice bass

  • wolfie's holding it down Nice

  • I've been saying from the get go that Little Guitars was a mistake to put it on the set list... Its always been a tough one for Dave to sing... I would've chosen Secrets instead. Slow the pace down a bit, let Dave "sing" and show his talent.

  • keep in mind the set lists were all wolfie's choices. a lot of negative posts from mr.69. if it weren't for eddie, your strat would have a single coil in it. show some class, man. if ya hate it so much, watch something else.

  • If Dave is such a talent he could pull off singing the song. Great song , I woudl love for them to play "Hear about it later"

  • Wow. Awful. they should be arrested for impersonating Van Halen.

  • 75 dates, 24 songs per night, there are going to be a few wonky notes. Let's see you do it better.

  • Sounds like guitar center on a Saturday afternoon.

  • I saw them in Greensboro and Ed is definitely hitting some sour notes during the intro here. The show I saw was one of the best I have ever seen though. Hope they put out an album this year.

  • I agree with you there daadamo, it sounds bloody awful!!, what's happened to Ed's playing ?.

  • I really am amazed that you guys think this really sounds good! This is a shadow of what Van Halen used to be. They are really missing Mike's background vocals and DLR sounds like hell and looks like Niles from Frasier.

  • haha that was a funny analogy

  • fookin awsome when are they coming to the uk

  • Everyone talks about Dave, Ed & Wolfie, which is fine. But don't forget about Alex. He's rock solid every night...

  • WHAT??? They are the best!!! Best ever!!!

  • eddie, wolfie and alex sound pretty good.

  • he's not playing well here at all..

  • what's with all those weird, wrong-sounding notes at the beginning?

  • I bet Warner Brothers is kicking themselves for dropping Van Halen about now.
