@tomitruant You're welcome, and no. It will not melt. Make sure there's no water in the iron etc, then put it on a medium heat and don't leave the iron on one spot for more than 3 seconds. Just keep ironing back and forth like you would clothes. I start from one side up and down and make my way accross, then go back the opposite way. It flattens it out alot and thinnens it very slightly gets rid of all the slight wool or whatever that would slow the ball down, which is invisible to the human eye

Are you moving your table, as you need to be able to have the full cue all around the table. I used to be in the same situation as you, my table is also a 6 ft pool/snooker table, so now i put my table in the shed then when i want a game at the weekends or a friend comes round i get it out.
