Well, I appreciate the new videos or whatever but you've got it all wrong. YouTube isn't the tyrant, they don't have a choice in the matter. Companies have obligations to copyright holders and just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's not right for you to put unlicensed content in your videos. I'm really sick and tired of the sense of entitlement with our generation. The web is not free, come on, that's Internet Basics 101. That other site (YouTube, Myspace, Facebook, and Google included) put ads on your page to pay for the hosting, encoding, and delivery of your content. It costs them money to do that, and they provide the service to you for free.

Last, not posting videos to YouTube isn't the answer. The philosophy behind it doesn't work. Like the iPhone, people don't like it cause it's so closed down, so they go Android or whatever, even when an iPhone work better for them. Why hamper what works best because of philosophy, especially when it's about internet video hosting? It's like, becoming a paraplegic because your religion says you should. Philosophy shouldn't beat utility. Again, especially on the web.

I have been a fan of Tolstoy since early 2008. He quit You Tube for some legit reasons. Google and record companies have really ruined the experience here on You Tube. There are loop holes around copyright infringement,but it is a pain. I am going to watch Tolstoy videos wherever he posts them.There are other good video sites out there people. Just look around, you will be amazed.
