Tower 7 collapsed because when Towers 1 and 2 fell and destroyed the foundation for the entire building complex. Tower 7 then fell into a hole.

The "explosions" seen coming from the windows of 1 and 2 are the floors collapsing onto the floor below them. So the 20th floor would have had all the weight of 60 floors (4" of concrete per floor) on it. The floors are only designed for 2 - 3 times their own weight.

I guess people would not know that it only takes about 1,000*F of heat for 10 min. to melt steel, ie. structural members. Nor would they know that the fire protection on those members would have been damaged by a jet liner on impact. The heat generated by thousands of gallons of jet fuel is more than sufficient.
