this is a good phone in some ways, but i wouldn't recomend it, it is slow, and sometimes it frezes, and it can get realy annoying. it gets slower with time

5800 copied the style of china fones' touch screen. even the quality.

nokia's first touch screen was a failure.

I am currently using Nokia N70. i heard alot about the poor picture quality of nokia 5800. the sound aint that bad, its loud enuf to wake u up from accros my room ( trust me ma room is big lol) :D for many ppl this is very loud but if ya wanna be really sure u gotta compare fones, i compared to 6500 slide which was a loud fone n this jus ripped it apart. its a fantastic fone overall, i reccomend (the touch is really good but texting can be hard dependin on how big ur hand is lol :D)

This phone is quite amazing in my opinion. It's compact and yet very fast. The only sad thing is the camera, my N73's camera felt alot better than this ones. The music player without headphones sounds just beautiful. Buy it.

It works capacitively using static, not heat. You can't unlock it in your pocket by accident, it's nothing to do with heat. I knows when it's a finger touching the screen.

The crashing bug was a 3rd party app related (Apple bug) issue, it was fixed on 2.1

I saw this Nokia phone being demoed and when the guy flicked to the next phone, which was a gesture-trigger, and not a photo-moves-with-your-finger trigger each new photo has a loading wheel before it appears, this is one, there are 100's of why this photo is not comparable to the iPhone. The Nokia has a better camera, but that's all. The iPhone is better in practically every other way.
