  • Maori culture is there for all Kiwis n NZer's to adopt, As long as all people know that when it come to the Maori haka it will always belong to the Maori.

  • Tumeke alright that was awesum PUKANA BLEH!!!

  • thts v gud to c a sikh in nz police and NZ police is also being supportive for all

  • you are aloud beards in the police force? that's an awesome beard. One thing that put me off joining the police force is that I want to grow a epic beard but it looks like that is ok.

  • @GloomFate

NZ Police rules allow beards, so it should not be a reason for you to not join - grow a wonderful beard man! There are certain limitations around beards, which you can negotiate with your superiors. And the most wonderful thing about New Zealand's Police hierarchy is that they do not start from the premise "it's not allowed" but "whether it may be allowed within the rules or not". In most cases, the solutions are present within the existing rules.

  • WOW! Beshak maza aa gyea

  • How cool is NZ...too effin cool for me to say, really.

  • I met Amaninder on the train! He is so cool!

  • ok, haka is to be add to EVERY culture!! I just love that!!!

  • @SikhCentre Yup, i've just read that on the net. It look like this country is really proud of his ancient culture, that's admirable. Ooops and yeah, the 'spear thing' is actually called a Taiaha....

  • @HUDJ0679790 NZ is a proud country - and learning to respect each other's differences in the increasingly diverse society with special respect for tangata whenua (people of the land). Thank you for your interest :-)

  • Oh my... now i picture a Sikh with maori makeup running with a spear... XD

    (i know, it's silly...)

  • @HUDJ0679790 It is not "make up" my friend - it is moko, received in a coming of age rite. So it is a privilege that only Maori enjoy.

  • @SikhCentre Yeah, i've just read that on the net.

  • wow i never seen indian dude do a haka he did a good job not like some people i mean like the america's football team they don't know what they are sayin' or doin' they put my culture to shame showin' no respect for what so ever, this indian guy puts them to shame.

  • yea man sikh's have a great warrior tradition too, much respect!

  • awesome sight, sikh performing the haka!!! great to see integration at all levels. BOLE SO NIHAL. SAT SRI AKAL.

  • WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH. Greetings from Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA.

  • Gurfateh Bai ji :-)

  • I'm Kiwi Indian i love both of my culture. New Zealand is friendly country. Only thing wrong with us is that in our country there is too many young people doing P. I'll be joining NZ police end of this year after uni. I'll do anything to save my country and our community and youth. Kia Kaha!

  • great success mate

  • good to c other cultures learning and doin our maori / polynesian haka good on ya !!!!!!!!!

  • That is awesome ! Really good to see that not everyone thinks that learning , respecting and even participating in other cultures does not mean you are disrespecting your own faith... BIG UPS to Amaninder ! I would love to see more people showing love (not hate) for other cultures around the world... People can learn from this man. A proud Punjabi man that is also proud to be a New Zealander. Kia Kaha ! 5*

  • veeer ji mera name v amaninder singh hai,,,,,,main uk wich haan,,,,,gud to see you in sikhi saroop

  • punjabi haka? hmm Ngati Punjabi?

  • Haka is the best way of acknowledging tangata whenua. All Blacks come from many ethnicities (Maori, European, Pacific, etc.) and before every game they perform the Haka to fire up!

  • all punjabi should learn lesson from this guy but they like stylish hairs like jazzy B, learn somethng from him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great stuff. always proud to be punjabi

  • anybdy knw from which part of punjab he(our gabroo) belongs

  • he is often walking in queen street

  • Good on you mate, we all are proud of you.

  • Nice one, thats really good he performed the haka, which I think may of been against his religion. My question is, since they are allowed to wear turbines, are Maori like myself allowed to wear my taonga (my tiki). As I know there is a lot of government jobs where you are not allowed to wear taonga.

  • Kia ora mate

    1. Haka is not against Sikh religion.

    2. The word is turban (not "turbine";-) and it is part of Sikh religion.

    3. A Maori officer is allowed to wear their kahu huruhuru (feather cloak).

  • Thanks.

  • yes yes dats my brother aman, so proud of u man. durg waleyan da naa roshan kita tu veerey

    B proud to be sikh

vich hajaran dis painda ikala sardar khada

  • Sikh ever got spirit to do anything and make a history in the world

  • Simply awesome.....He looks like a Lion in uniform!

  • Amazed by New Zealand's respect for others traditions. Not talking about Mr Singh here necessarily..although it is good to see a Sikh doing this....but generally unlike the UK, New Zealand seems more tolerant.

  • The UK is a very tolerant place. Sikhs go about their daily business, they integrate and respect British culture since culture doesn't effect Religion. I know many Sikhs proud to call themselves British. It's just other minorities who make it hard for respectful people like the Sikhs. Unfortunately, this causes alot of tension with groups such as the BNP since they pounce on the actions of lets say Islamic Extremists and use it against every single ethnic minority. The UK is absolutely fine!

  • Wah, Sandhu..kiven? Gabrus like you make Punjabis proud. Keep it up.

  • Great Video! THnx for sharing!.

Jo Bole Sonehal Sat Sri AKaal!
