  • i just knew vayne has Whitebeard devil fruit ability

  • dude! did Vayne break the fourth wall at 2:38?!!!!

  • of couse everyone expected larsa to not help vayne in the end, but hearing him say "no" like that and the empire theme play made me think like "oh man some epic shit is goin down!"

  • for some strange reason vayne reminds me of goerge W. bush

  • Oh hai Tommy Wiseau.

  • "...who are you?" Oh man what villain has ever asked that?

  • I actually never thought Vayne would be the antagonist at the end. He seemed persuading in the beginning of the game when he promised peace to Rabanastre.

  • "I bid you welcome!" He sounds so cheery xD

  • I thought Vayne was just terrific. He kills with his mouth and he's really believable as a character who could deceive people.

  • Vayne is one of my favourite villains. His goals are actually quite admirable, and he's certainly more believable than many of the recent antagonists. It's a refreshing change from wannabe gods, destroyers and those with "WHY WAS I BORN!?" complexes.

Also, these final few scenes are truly epic.

  • I love that

    Vayne:watch larsa~triumphant music~

    Larsa:..No~record scratch~

  • @kentuckyfriedpickles I *loled* when he said "No."

I was like, "OMG! xD" xD

  • I love Vayne Solidor, I hope with Zemus (FFIV), Seymour (FFX) and Lord of Darkness (FFXI) will be in the next Dissidia (if is possible)

  • vayne is actually quite interesting considering the fact that he is being manipulated by a god as well as is manipulating everyone (especially gabranth). i think at the very least they should have explained more about the ocuria (that one scene in the great crystal didnt cut it). if they had maybe everything else would have fallen into place.

  • this game was ALMOST there, character development was just weak! it makes me sad, yet happy that they're fixing some of hte problems from X.

  • I'm just curious, why, do you think he was terrible?

  • Very poor character for a villain. He is nowhere near as witty as say Balthier, nor is he nowhere near as manipulating as his younger brother could be. We know almost nothing about him, he is very poorly developed. Lastly, he does not command any presence on the screen, partly due to voice acting, and also due to blandness. This shows here, and any other scene, specially the one between him and the father previously. He is suppose to the emperor to "darth vaders"(judges) of this game, but fails.

  • I have to agree, Vayne played very little role in the game and didn't do much evil. He just happened to rule the guys who did. With his creation of manufactured Nethicite and his plotting with Venat to overthrow the Occuria, I found Cid to act much more like a Final Fantasy villain ought to - intelligent and scheming and power-hungry.

  • actually almost all characters of this game are poorly developed, compared to others FF like VIII or X

  • Vaan was a terrible hero, it should hav been been Balthier. Vaan was too....I dont know, but he just couldnt fit the role.

  • The characters of FF8 are too poor developed. In your party, only Squall and Rinoa have crucial importance and develoment, the others are just fillers, altought I like them.

  • He could be comparable to, if not a little better, than Necron in FFIX

  • i love vayne...fuckwithable^^

  • whoo go larsa
