the rockband drums do work for ps3 metallica coz i use them but the only gay thing is u need the specific instrument for the right game on wii because it wont let u use rockband drums on a guitar hero game of any type u have to use the rockband ones and that goes for guitar aswell but does not apply for microphone

The wii is weird, in which you must have that designated drum set for said game. In all likelihood you need to have the guitar hero drum set for GH: Metallica. The wii is the only system that has these parameters.

The double bass may not work, but you will be able to play Guitar Hero: Metallica on a RB 1 drum set. I never tested the double bass on that set.

At this point I would say yes. Being that GH: Metallica and Smash Hits will have the same setup, the RB equipment should work fine.

Yes you can. Pretty much anything can work with Rock Band, but not everything works with Guitar Hero, especially Guitar Hero 3 and Rock Band 1 guitar.

With the Wii you are going to have a problem. For the Wii you have to use game-specific instruments, nothing is really cross compatible.

No mods, you can use the RB stuff with Metallica. As far as four colors, are you talking about the actual drum array, or the colors on the screen for the drum screen. But as far as compatibility, there are no worries.

The extra pedal is only compatible with guitar hero drum kits, it is not compatible with RB drums sets. So Neversoft is essentially holding their of equipment hostage. Sorry bro.....

I believe for the Wii you can use either guitar hero or RB equipment. It seems to be setup the same way for all the consoles.

on ps3 the orange shows up in career mode, but the cymbals work. On every other mode the cymbals dont work but there is no orange, what the fuk!

This is only the demo, so I can't speak for the entire game as a whole. The cymbals worked fine for this game with the Rock Band 2 drumset.
