@AzBirdDog Well, It could work but keep in mind that you would need a 12V (preferably stabilised somehow, I'd say) output from the electric motor/generator while also providing a relatively large charging current. So you would need an RC vehicle engine that can supply reasonable power and a generator that can withstand the dissipation of that power in its coil(s)
Yeah, sure, or I could just pull the throttle control on the engine a little bit more. But the only reason I built this generator is because I had an old -barely working- RC car engine that I didn't want to just dispose of, and I i wanted to do something with it, not to produce largest output voltage possible ;)
The only problem with this is it is very expensive too run $30 a gallon an consiering theyre gas hogs but its cool that you made that cool concept

Very cool! I have an old Nexus 30 Heli that I don't fly anymore. I thought of doing this exact thing, and here you are, Beating me to it! LOL.
Very cool! I thought of using it this way though.
Using it as a nitro powered generator, just incase your car battery dumps on me in the middle of the woods. LOL.
Do you think that it would work?

i did this exact same way as you only i have a small led being powered from the electric motor

you know, if you put a smaller gear on the electric motor, you would generate more voltage.

Excuse Me. Can you show me another video about the structures of the generator? I am very interested in it. And I want to build one. Thank you.
