This vinyl is pretty rare to find and super expensive. I know they're gonna re-release it soon but it's still probably gonna be close to triple digits. sheesh
@messiahisgay Pretty much. A bit over 1 grand on Amazon. Lol, though im not sure if you could find elsewhere for cheaper. I'de but it if I could afford to spend that much.
Hehehe.its not a winter jacket it's a thin summer rain jacket.........I remember waiting for my girlfriend to get ready,I was standing around with my jacket on waiting and waiting when I decided to do this........
It was Radiohead "Okay Computer" it's a good album not as good Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness. Did you know Melancholy And The Infinite Sadness lost as best album of 1995 top a Celine Deon album.
@nicholsjoshua15 its mellon collie you noob..\btw he is lucky to have this LP.. check on ebay if he knows how much it cost per-today, request "galapagos" please..i can not afford this LP honestly..
@nicholsjoshua15 Ok fucking Computer beat Smashing Pumpkins??? Fuck......not that I'm surprised as society is brainwashed into thinking the high and mighty Radiohead are gods.
@blackhorse099 I like Radiohead, but no where as much as The Smashing Pumpkins. If they had lost to Radiohead I wouldn't have so bad but loosing to Celine Dion was a slap in the face and a finger in the ass. The Smashing Pumpkins are still awesome, I can't wait for Oceania!
As a lifelong vinyl hound who never gave up the wax even back in that day, I was pretty cheesed off not to be able to obtain my own copy of the limited triple vinyl on this one back when it came out. And Good luck trying to find one on Ebay that doesn't command at least $125 a pop!. I just hope that some awesome Company like Because Sound Matters will trot out a PIMPING deluxe 180-gram Reissue someday, So that those like me who missed out on the original press can finally have this on vinyl!

It certanly was, it was some of the greatest groups ever, and this certanly was the best of their album, they marked our X generation. I heard them as a teenager back then. I didnt know there were LP´s from them, lucky you!
your setup sounds amazing. i just bought this on vinyl with my tax return for a whopping $250. but i've been wanting it for about 15 years now, so the price isnt that bad considering it's personal (and physical) value.
That's alot. I have two copies of this on vinyl. One signed by the band. I got them in early 1996, both for $50 at the time. I've seen them on ebay for alot of money these days and am glad I got them back then.
I agree but I would go further than saying it is the best album of the nineties. I think it is the best album of ALL TIME. A true piece of musical magic. There has been no greater music written before or since.
I live this record and have two copies on vinyl. Got them back in 1996. I agree that music went way downhill after about 1997 and took almost a decade to recover with a few exceptions. Only in about the last 3 years has good stuff been coming out.
If you are talking about new good music I think there is plenty of good stuff out there today. I think there has been some good stuff in the last 10 years now if I really think about it. But, you have to admit that music went downhill after, OK, maybe 1998 or 1999 and took a while to get to where it is today. I mean, even the Smashing Pumpkins went downhill now days (Billy no!) though I MCIS still ranks in my book as one of the greatest albums of all time and is always in my MP3 player or iPod.
Thanks for sharing! The pumpkins are real art. Not enough thank you's to them! There is a reason this sells for around 300$ consistently :)

Can I request "Infinite Sadness"? Youtube got rid of it despite the fact that its one of the best songs to end an album.

Yeah, Smashing Pumpkins made so many bad albums it's hard to decide which is the worst.

Gish is my personal favorite, but I think Mellon Collie is the best one by them in musical terms and ambition.
