It's a shame that for the most part, only old people listen to this. Like, 90% of the listeners have 20-30 years left, "2,230" as the sample, only 220 left, and since this music isn't popular, that'll decline over the generations too. I mean, this isn't classical music, where people can pretend they like it to seem smart. This is a great tragedy is what it is. Here's hoping for a revival!

I heared this also at the right time. The Pesach (Passover) just passed last week and as a not religious Jew I call this Holiday 'The Liberty Holiday" and really keep it reading the "Hagada", the booklet with the story of the events. Inded Hines is into it, voice and soul.

One of the truly great bassos of the last century. He never sought great international fame & was not a "household name", unfortunately.
