normally i find that "soulful blackman" cliche guy revolting, but scatman crothers is so touching the way he is touched...and i understand him, kubrick, with all him so called cold films, was maybe one of the deepest and most wise and therefore warmhearted guys film has ever seen...crothers just wasn´t used to working on such a sensitive setting it seems...

@404search I use to agree with that statement. He was the best american diercor ever.Akria Kurosawa was the best director ever IMO. He made only one bad film out of over 30 films and one so-so film. No insult to Kubrick at all. I consider him the second best in the history of film.
