  • wow, who the hell needs to buy their own goodwoods anymore

    good job man

  • can you do this with ghwt drums?

  • Comment removed

  • @xHSxSTUNN3Rx yep. just they look really ugly

  • lol they SILENT

  • how is the rebound on those?

  • i imagine it's pretty good since they're mesh heads...even if the rebound was crappy, you could just tighten the head, thus making it better

  • at 0:01 he spelt it "dyi" not diy

  • dude nice tv

  • its a projector

  • who cares dude

  • man those look like the goodwood pads :P but cool PS: can you have them with rock band 2?

  • lolno

  • umm no they arent compare the number of screws on those heads to the goodwoods

  • Oooohhh, that's quiet. I'm gonna try doing this sometime.

  • Why do you use window screen? Is it more durable and give a better bounce reception?

  • They are quieter with better rebound. As far as durability goes, I would say they would last about six months of casual use before you ended up with a hole in it.

  • mesh heads are incredibly strong actually

  • cool

  • so you made your own goodwood mods.

  • nevermind

  • Nice job man. I applaud you for building your own. I got bashed for posting on the rockband forums that I thought goodwoods set was overpriced. I built some using Mike's website too. Mine are full size though, and I'm thinking of selling them and doing some like what you've done. I did mine off one of his old tutorials. They're great, but just take up too much room. Did you screw each drum to the original pad, or mount them some other way?

  • I had thought about taking the hardware off the old tops to the original kit pads, but then well, I wasn't sure I'd easily get the rubber plugs aligned correctly.

So I took the lazy way out and drilled 4 holes in them and screwed them to my new heads. So at the base of each of my new ones is the old pads with the sensor cages removed held on w/ 4 screws.

After building these though I'm thinking of building them larger, but I have space for it. :)

  • Well, FWIW... I'm impressed.
