The snake they were milking @ the end didn't have the slit eyes, the eyes were rounded. "Billy The Exterminator Show" said that a way to tell if a snake is venomous, is if it has slits for pupils & not rounded. If so, why was he milking a non-venomous snake? Or was the TV show host incorrect?

You don't expect Funnel Webs up there but we got a box of stuff from Sydney for a job and when he opened this little box there wasa really pissed off Funnel Web ready to have a go at him. Yep. FW's are not good travellers, but with temp controlled food transport and other climate controlled vehicles they stand a good chance of being secret stowaways.

Thats what happened when our Redback spider started to colonise in Japan.

It stowed on a Tasmanian Apple shipment and wreaked havoc in a Japanese port until it was identified and exterminated.

i live in Sydney and i have never ever seen a funnel web around my house.

I've found redbacks but they are always in predictable places such as garden sheds and under rocks.

Anyways, Its not like we have them crawling all over the place trying to kill us. The only thing that actually intrudes into the house are huntsmans and they are harmless.

Funnel webs are often found in bathrooms etc because it is cool and moist and sometines dark as well, which they like.

But the spider that really lives INSIDE the toilet is the RED BACK SPIDER. I have a few uploads on them. Take a look and see. The is also a song on YT about a guy who was bitten on the XXXX by a red back on the toilet seat. They are part of Australian folk lore.

But it is not just for defense. It will strike at you if you literally breathe on it of if your shadow passes over it. And it strikes repeatedly and will not back off. Also, they will chase you down if you piss them off.
