that's sweet of you.. i also found a kitten in the streets and was raining also at that time.. she was malnourished and could barely see because of her muck-filled eyes and was so exhausted and could barely make a sound when i took her in.. and i think RichardForkins described it well about the bond between rescued animals and their rescuer.. i share the same bond with Kitty now.. she's staying with me for 4 months now and she had been healthy and playful ever since.. :)

@tiganhonda Right after picking him up, we took him to the vet and besides the low weight and some fleas, they didn't find anything wrong with him. But it's possible he had a cold or something similar. He had been in the rain, and when I first approached him he opened his mouth to meow, but no sound came out. Anyway, as soon as he started eating, he became very lively and recovered extremely fast.

@Kyuss9 I found one in very similar circumstances to yours and a year and a half later shes still with us. :) Fair play for looking after him though. There's a lot of people out there who would leave him to die unfortunately.

I love his markings! I also would have taken him home!I love the way he just climbs up the pant leg. My little kitten tried to do that with me. Unfortunately, I was wearing shorts. I sustained several cuts to my leg and man did they burn!

@xoxoJannet It's actually quite usual for young cats to do that. They stick their nails/fangs in whatever they want to climb and away they go ;-)

Besides legs ;-) , curtains and door-frames are some of their favorite spots to climb, when living in an apartment.

@akklove1 If you go to your local vet, I'm sure they can help with that. Unfortunately there are a lot of abandoned animals and by picking one up, you'll be helping him and getting yourself one of the best friends you can ask for.

Ohh my heart just exploded with cuteness overload! thank you so much for caring about the little guy! I saved a kitten from neighbours who were starving it and kept it outdoors in freezing winter conditions. They say a cat finds its owner, well your cat and mine obviously found us!

Hs name was comic creepers and 3 months later after being all healthy he was daignosed with blood cancer. I cried but i kept him. Soon one night i let him sleep next to me on my pillow and when i woke pu he had passed. I cried and so that day i took him out to the back yard and buried him. I kne i saved his life once but i couldnt save it a second time. He was loved and cared for. I wish he was still here with me. RIP comic creepers.

I was walking home from school one day and i decided to take a different path. Suddenly i spotted a blck and white cat in the middle of the street. I decided to follow it to this dirt path. I ran after it then started to hear this crying sound. I looked around til i got to a fence. When i looked over there was two kittens. I manage to get the neighbor to get the kittens and i was so happy. He took one and i took one. I took the all black kitten.

I think rescued animals tend to form better bonds with their owners than ones that have been purchased. It's like they sense that you saved them from a very bad place. It was so great that you took this little guy in :)

Although I never bought a cat, all my other cats were born in human environments (houses, farm) and despite being very friendly and attached, the relationship is different with this cat. For people who love animals, it's really easy to mistakenly attribute human feelings and emotions to pets, but even being well aware of that, I can't describe this cats attitude towards me other than extreme devotion, and I'm pretty sure he never forgot the day we met

Hello all, thank you for your nice comments. Me and my wife spoted him on the edge of a heavy traffic road, alone, wet (it had rained in the previous days) and extremely emaciated.

I guess that he either got lost of his mother or that she died.

Since then he lives with us and has become a big strong, healthy cat. He is a very friendly cat and is always calling for attention, like he does in this video. I've been kind of lazy with putting a new video, but I promise I'll upload one soon :-)
