But back then teh vision was we are 1...we stick together forever, but when things fell apart...as we see now Corneille who was writing most of teh material back then anyways, decided to go solo first..Ravens had already decided to part ways..so Corneille simply took the same sound Ravens gave the group and went on to stardom..his entirely album was done at the Ravens studio in Old Montreal.
After Cean, Ravens started concentrating on O.N.E which was 1 group at the time (Corneille, Gage and Gardy) they were amazing. Fresh new french RnB sound unheard of...everything they recorded was fire...on the orginal Zoukin I actually had a 16 bar verse at the end..8 songs was recorded it was fire but the distribution company did not see the vision of group. They needed one guy to stand out.
Yo!!That brings back some good memories.Cean was signed to Ravens Records my older brother's former record label..(the one talking in the beginning and doing some ad-lib throughout the track) good looking out...just in case you don't know, One and Corneille was also signed to Ravens Records...we had the 514-450 on a lockdown, about to blow up big time, but Gage did some messing around and things fell apart, most of their album was recorded, Zoukin included..anyways much love
Cean is now in living in the west end of MTL, he is married as well I believe. His album was a good album, if Cean was willing to do free shows and promote himself before the album dropped the MTL crowd would showed him much love..but he thought the video, the single with Barnev in it, would of been enough..but he was an English rapping artist not french. MTL was embracing french rap at big time, unfortunately for us. Do you remember Jaihar - "The Big Fella"? He was signed to Ravens too.
