@nkoscik No, it hasn't been confirmed at all. For the kind of time it took for them to make it (8 years? 10?) they would have had to sell a lot, A LOT, more than they did. The only way we'll see a sequel is if it'll be more successful now that it's on Games on Demand, or if some foolhardy private investors fork over the cash to remedy.

@supernerd767 I never said it was confirmed, I said "Alan Wake 2 has been PRETTY MUCH been confirmed". Remedey has gotten communtiy input on what could only be Alan Wake 2. A contest was recently held by for the communtiy to send in their own ideas for what the Taken might say in a likely sequel. And I highly doubt that it's going to be another Max Payne game.

P.S. It only took 5 years to make Alan Wake.

this music plays when Victor and Sierra both kill themselves - in a kinda Shakespearean tragedy way - in the hopes that they will wake up from their nightmare reality and still be in love, and when Echo commits suicide in the hopes that her reality is imaginary and she will wake up and free everyone from the attic.

"the attic" was an epic episode and this song made it even more amazing.
