When I done it the guy in the white robe was there constantly, staring at the portal and not moving, so I couldent get in without being spotted. But I noticed that he was a main character, so I snuck up on him and used my bow to shoot him in the back of the head (Whilst sneaking for x6 damage) knocking him out instantly. Which gave me around 10 seconds to get in, steal the staff, plant the note, get out the second portal that the guy was watching, and get out. I'm smart lol.

I have a problem with this quest: when i bring the staff back to Metheredhel after puting the letter into the night stand i dont get the option: "Yes. Here it is." I only get the "Well... not exactly." Althought i have it in my inventory. I play on PC version. How i can handle this problem?

its underground you have to go to dive rock and jump out if you manage to hit the right spot you will get to them XD just kidding its at the waterfront at midnight but you have to get to jail first or look at a gray fox poster and bribe a beggar to join (serious)

PROTIP: You can steal back the ice staff. Then if you are not part of the mages guild or anything you can fence it for a great price.. or keep it.. its actually pretty fun to use.

This quest was a mindfuck... I was the Archmage of the Mages guild... so I didnt have to even tresspass to get up there.... but then one of the doors became red so I was tresspassing on my own property? Then when I got to "my" room... BAM Traeven is there! Like holy shit I thought he killed himself. Weird... weird... quest. I tried to talk to him and say "dude ur supposed to be dead" but then he got all pissy and tried to kill me with emperor Palpetine lightning.

Ok, I stole the fudging staff, and I got bored and decided to go to one of the fences so I could sell it then buy it back, but he wouldn't buy it because it wouldn't show up in his shop, so I started to leave, and I shot the staff at the ground and it said I attacked somebody in the guild, so I went to the Imperial City Waterfront to talk to whatshisface, but the guards were everywhere searching for the Gray Fox-

that pirate ship in the waterfront docks when all the guards are around go on the ships deck then leave right away then all the guards will attack and kill the pirates then go into the captains cabin and unlock this hard chest and you will get 1000 gold,an emerald and 2 pearls hope this helps anyone who needs a little money

I like Kahjits. I myself always pick those (Seen in my oblivion videeo about open world glitch)..but their magic sucks.. Their good but I don't have enough points or MP to use night-eye, etc... I am only good at destruction spells.. I am level 35 in the game and I pretty much played by the Official guide way so i can't level more nor add points to any of the skills..Also i picked warrior with my own class skill "Perfecto" lol
