  • If I had to make a guess I'd say that this was probably lit to demonstrate how fire really moves through a house. Of course we can't tell if this is the case in this video, but it happens around me if we can get all the paperwork put through. @7112uitruk we do have to fill out environmental impact statements for the EPA after every fire, including test fires. But not BBQ's. Every American has the right to a good BBQ. Fly over to the States sometime and we'll cook you a good one.

  • In Europe we have to get a permit for every BBQ. Enviroment is still top off the bill and we have to pay for it whatever we do. How is it possible to burn a house for fun in the USA??

I guess the USA has only words and fake messages ... God clean america.!!!!!!!!

  • @7112uitruk

Its called fire training. So you can pull people out of a real fire that was not set by the fire department and probies can get training. Its like the first time in combat. You really need to know the mind set you need to be in when that first bullet goes by your head. This is the same thing. Deal with some fire. You know what to expect next time. Training and experience go hand in hand. So think before you speak.

  • would a bulldozer of been more cost effective just seems pointless waste of fire fighters time when a real accident could have happen some were elas.

  • I called a female firefighter a fireman once-she had an axe in her hand and sternly informed me " I am a firefighter, NOT a fireman!!" From that day on anyone in fire gear is a firefighter lol.

  • why are they standing around and not putting it out?

  • @obla95 do you not know how to read...

  • Good PR just standing there lol

  • i sal my dad

  • You'll think twice about playing with matches and leaving space heaters unattended

  • why wouldn't they just knock the house down instead of setting it on fire?

  • @sugargal12345 because this is WAAAY more fun!

  • @sugargal12345 sometimes the firefighters set fire to houses that are going to be destroyed; for training reasons.

  • @sugargal12345 Many Fire Departments burn houses down for people in their community, its training for the department and the home owners save money on demolition and dumpster costs by have the materials burned.

  • @sugargal12345 you can write it off on taxes as donating it if you let the fire department burn it for a "training." thats where we get a lot of our training. my department actually trains on them though.

  • The only time when FIRE ROCKS!! lol

  • I'm sure the neighbors were stoked! their clothes still smell like smoke. ;P

  • That would be a cool photo opt for everybody. Backround.

  • 40 odd fire men and not one off them was doing anything don't you get paid enough or something

  • @MrSmithyistheman this building was set on fire purposly this was not an actual call which is why they are standing around.

  • @MrSmithyistheman also 73% of all firefighters in the united states are volunteer and dont get paid at all.

  • One time in my neighborhood there was a severe thunder storm and lightning struck to houses in my neighborhood and both of them caught on fire then the other one caught on fire and another one did then 8 were on fire because the 2 house fires were big so it was sort of like a wild fire except with houses.

  • awesome video dude!!! It's nothing but watching a crappy house burn!!!!!

  • perchè non spengono l'incendio? becouse don't off fire?

  • 5:55...my favorite part of the vid.

I hope they made good use of the house before lighting it up.

  • thats a good fire

  • *Mute*

  • Nothing worse than a fire vid with music.

  • I have seen a real fire but not as cool as that, once my neighbors house caught at like 12oclock @ night. It was awsome cause @ that time i was 4 and loved firetrucks(still do) but not as cool as that.

  • A bull doozer is practical, but shit........FIRE IS ALOT MORE FUN

  • Should've played "Burn" by deep purple . . . xD

  • Ive seen local fire depts do this. It depends on the situation but they will do it for training firefighters. Also for Public example of just how serious house fire's can be by letting the public actually see one burn to the ground.

The one house I watched the fire Dept burn down had 3 other depts in for the training. They werent local either. They were depts from other cities thousands of miles away.

  • As a volley, I like to help out the taxpayers as much as the next guy.. but this is over the line. Liability liability, liability.. not to this house, but to someone closeby who may have a real emergency. You'll be delayed in breaking down hoselines, shutting of hydrants etc all because you wanted to show your taxpayer support. Not worth it!

  • @PoliceFireEMS that is why you have mutual aid agreements. Let the surrounding area what your up to and if you cant make a call they do it.

  • Why not use an excavator and dump truck?

  • Control burn or not...NO FIREFIGHTER should 20 feet from a fully involved fire without gear or helmets.

  • Oh how environmentally friendly..

  • @Piratescovesurfer1 There are these things, called wildfires, 1000s of miles are burnt to a crisp

  • BAD ASS SONG

  • Dr. Druid, before I would make a STUPID statement, I would want to check and see if they did what MOST departments do, like set incipient fires in individual rooms and let the crews go in an knock the fire down for nozzle practice. You do this several times all while keeping each fire contained and then when you cant contain it any longer, back everyone out and let it go. By the way, Screw the tax payer. If he aint in there with you on the line HE DONT Matter.

  • If you guys want to screw around do it on your own dime,,, not the taxpayers dime. If you planned to burn this house with no training value involved then contract with the homeowner to demo the house. Having companies of fire department there is just an enormous waste of taxpayer dollars.

  • I don't ever play with matches! I make my own NAPALM and play with that!

  • if we do that in Romania the owners kill us :))

  • @zamolxez erau taranii cu furcile in noi deja :)))

  • july 29, 2009 was a wednesday, not a saturday. idiot.

  • lets sing the camp fire song song

  • FIRES ARE FUN.....but cleaning sucks

  • That is a lot of smoke. Why burn it when the smoke is already a huge problem since it causes air pollution? Bring in a demolition crew with a wrecking ball or something that is a lot less harmful to the atmosphere.

  • @WestBrickstonFire37 Often times fire depts will jump at the prospect of burning a vacant house as a training exercise. Its a win win...fire fighters get training/practice while the landowner clears the lot for very cheap.

  • @WestBrickstonFire37 smoke from fire isnt like smoke from cars, its drops down once it cools of and just turns to dust, probably the same amount of harm from this then a demo crew.

  • @WestBrickstonFire37 thats exactly what i thought

  • @WestBrickstonFire37 Probably should have removed the shingles first haha. But fires happen everday so who really cares.

  • Yes I've seen a few house fires. the most recent were 2 fires right across my street and right next door to each other. An electrical fire in one house in August, and an arson in a vacant 2 story apartment nextdoor to that house in October. Both fires were knocked out really quick since Akron fire depts kick ass and the house didnt have any exterior damage and is fixed up already. the partially burned apartment is going to sit there for a few months before it gets demolished i assume.

  • Careful with em cigarettes xD

  • ok the fire was started from the garage and the only thing left standing is the garage. WTF is the garage made out of?

  • very bad for put some music

  • Burn babby burn! XD

  • video is okay but that noise in the back is irritating

  • did they make any training runs in this house before lettin her go?

  • Did they atleast get any training out of this before they burned it to the ground?

  • This would have never been allowed in California.

  • the vfd did this with a barn at my farm to give new people the idea what it was like in a house fire. easy way to clear a crap barn too.

  • nice video anyway

  • You call this a house? :))

  • wow.. what a messed up way to get rid of your house... but awesome as well. :)

  • someone asked to burn down their house? -__-

  • NICE- Also, I`m Maddie`s friend, Rebekka. Probably remember from her party.
