  • This video answers my question I needed answered about longer side view of plow in action. I watched your 5740 video again and noticed HLA logo under the word Kubota. Thank you again for your snow videos!

  • @IowaKLR650 Yes that snow bucket is made by Horst. It's a Canadian company. The part that has "Kubota" on it is a spill guard I added to it to keep the snow from falling on the tractors hood. Your very welcome ;)

  • Great machine makes me want one

  • @AndeHollis It sure beats shoveling lol :) Thanks for commenting!

  • how did you wire a back up alarm to your hat? I have a 4240 hat without a cab

  • @rh1n01 HST*

  • @rh1n01 If you go to my channel you'll see a video called "Reverse Beeper" That will give you an idea of how i did it.

  • What model number and year is this tractor? I see it said 36 PTO HP.

  • @Clearcutservices2001 This one is a 2008 Kubota Grand L 4240 HSTC. It now has 200 hours on it and it's being traded in for a 2011 Kubota Grand L 5740Cabed tractor.

  • Hi paul, i love your tractors setup. My uncle has an l5740 for his business with a cab and its a beauty. Not quite as many add ons as urs though...anyways y does your plow make so much noise while plowing?

  • @critter986ify I almost bought the 5740 but didn't need the extra power seeing I was just using mine for plowing snow. They're basically the same unit with a different size engine. What your hearing in this video is the new cutting edge on the blade. I have it tipped ahead and scrapping the ice off the pavement. It normally don't make any noise but that day it did. I did two more video's today that are being uploaded now. Oh. Thanks for subscribing and for posting :)

  • Great video Paul. I've been looking at different tractor blower/plow combinations and keep coming back to your video. Do you use this setup on any residentials or just on your commercial lot?

  • @mortz700 Thank you very much. That video was done in a bit of a rush. My wife was using the camera and was cold so I went as fast as I could. I'm hoping to do a better one with in cab and outside of cab next if we ever get any snow. I do two very large lots with this tractor and I do a couple of residential driveways. I'm very happy with the tractor and there's only 136 hours on it yet. Not bad for a 2008 tractor. Thanks for your comments.Very much appreciated.Happy Holidays from Newfoundland.

  • @7863348 u have a buckit for this and what attachment would u recamid for cleaning trails like dirt atv trail with when its got snow on it... a bucket to just scoop it??

  • @Nick75987 Depends on how rough the trail is and how much snow but I use the power angle blade for 90% of my snow clearing. Fast and efficient.

  • @7863348 well the trail is like dirt with sum small small rocks and peapbles and cant i just use the bucket?? u no run into scoop a dump were i wont. and how much can i get a tractor like yours for?

  • @Nick75987 You sure could use the bucket but I'm think an angle blade would be faster especially if the trail was a long one :)

  • wouldn't you Plow the Snow away from the garage doors first makes No sense to pow the way you did,.. and push is all too your right,,,

  • @Jefffypooh You have missed the point here. This is NOT a "how to" plow snow video. It's just a short demonstration on how this tractor works with the plow and blower on it. I've plowed this lot for 20 years now and I didn't want to do a 30 minute video of me plowing the full lot.

  • @7863348 yes i do agree with your point,... of view,... of how the plow works with the blower and does a great job,.. but it wouldn't of taken you 30 mins to plow it all one way that was my point too demonstrate how plowing then blowing works,.. I my self have been plowing for 28 years it was the the way i saw it in your heading its says Plowing and Blowing...some people don't have sound on there computers - I do , but was not listening with the tv on.

  • @7863348 Nice Strobes by the way on the plow and the Blower ;)

  • Oh I See A Canada Flag! :) I Love Canada!!!

  • @Vic2011Firth Thank you and all Canadians thank you. I'm on the very end of Canada in Newfoundland. Thanks for posting :)

  • @7863348 Nice!! :) I Live In Royal City, Washington. (About 5 Hours From The Canadian Border- Osoyoos, BC To Be Exact ) Man, I Wish I Was Canadian! Canada Is A Beautiful Country :)

  • @Vic2011Firth Thank you. Well Canada loves the good old USA. We sure make great neighbors. I have allot of friends down south of us and there like family to me. If you ever get up here to Newfoundland be sure to drop by. Stay well and thanks for posting :)

  • @7863348 I'll Surely Do That My Friend :)

In Fact, I Plan To Attend To A University Up In Canada So I'll Be Up There For Quite A While.

  • @Vic2011Firth Good stuff. Good luck with your education and hope you have a great time when you get up here ;)

  • Those are nice tractor for winter time, Unfortunately I having a John Deere Tractor.

I am going to buy other tractor! This time it would be small like yours, but you have a good running there, mate.

  • @strassj Thanks. Glad you like my Kubota. It works very well and is fast at snow clearing. The John Deere is a very good machine as well. Having a heated cab is really nice on those cold days. Thanks for posting :)

  • @7863348 Thanks too. I planning to buy big John Deere tractor for general utility.

I also to ask them to add extra equipment for winter time. I like your front snow plow connet to loader. That would be very helpful than fixed small snowplower.

  • that has to be the life man lol i have to plow snow with a 1840 case lol very cold

  • @brety099 I feel for you sir. I had an open MF one time and I just about died on the thing but loved it all the same. The cab is great. It's very quiet. Great sound system in it plus I added some fun items to the beast. There are other vids on here showing the inside of the tractor. One is called plowing at night. Thanks for your comments. Stay warm dude.

  • is it a heated cab?

  • @brety099 Yes it's a heated cab with air conditioning, tilt steering and cruise control. Very nice to operate.

  • Very nice set up you have there. I have a long paved driveway and I'm debating between a blower & a blade.

Quick question, Do you prefer using the blade or the blower & do you "need" a blower or would a blade alone work just fine? Again, very nice machine you have. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

  • Thanks Harv. My driveway is over 600 feet long and the blade wins hands down every time. I only use the blower for smaller driveways were there's no room to plow the snow. The blade is super fast. Happy tractoring!

  • Comment removed

  • I like your set-up. I do snow removal and drive basically the same thing. The only difference is my blower is the other way around and my bucket is just a normal bucket instead of a blade. I'd prefer a blade to be honest but I just do small residential driveways.

  • @unclefucknuts Dont know how I missed your comments. Really sorry about that!! How is your tractor working out for you? My rig got the quick change skid steer attachment on the loader arms. I can drop the bucket and pick up the blade in a couple of minutes. I'm happy with it. I use the blade 95% of the time and only use the bucket to move the snow to a new location. Hope all is well. So sorry to have missed your post. Happy Holidays

  • love your rig. Now lets prey for snow haha.

  • Thank you. We should be living in Washington these days :)

  • So I can buy, we have a lot of snow ...

  • Yes If you have a Kubota dealer they will have it. This blower has hydraulic rotation and deflection on the chute and works very good. It also got drift cutters on the side of the blower. Thank you for your question.

  • What brand blower, how much latitude?

    Sorry my bad language ;-))

  • It is a Kubota blower but it built in Canada. The model number is L2674 and is 74 inches wide. My tractor has around 36 HP at the PTO and it can discharge snow around 60 feet no problem. Your language is very good and thank you for the question.

  • I mean...How many feet is she throwing that snow?

  • Holy cow that thing can throw the snow! That's the first time i actually saw this video in which you throw snow! How many is she throwing it?

Also, I see you don't putt around when clearing the lot? LOL That's a BIG lot to have cleared in under 5 minutes! :)

  • *****

     nice

  • I have got to ask, how did you hook up the back up alarm to the tractor? I have asked 2 dealers about it and they have no idea. They said jury rigging some kind of a switch the gets clicked when you push reverse on the pedal is the only way. Is this how you did it?

    Thanks!

  • @ctc1111 Look here on my video's called Reverse Beeper and it will show you how I did it. I knew someone would ask. If you have any other questions feel free to ask. Thanks

  • looks great man.

i got to drive a 50 horse bota those are nice tractors

  • Thanks my friend. Get on up here to Newfoundland and you can try this one.

  • love to if i ever make my way up there i will drop you a line :)

  • Nice setup you have there! I have the same tractor and tried a friends blower on it last weekend, very impressed. Now I want my own blower. Where did you get the front fenders and what did they cost?

  • Thanks. These tractors are great with the snow blower attachment. as for the front fenders. They come as standard equipment on most of the Grand L series cabbed tractors.

  • I should have said that the fenders come as standard equipment on most of the Grand L kubota's here in Canada.

  • Very nice, she has the horse power to handle the job.

  • Thanks. I'm happy with it. It's only used for snow clearing but it sure makes moving snow fun:)

  • Hey there...great video. I love those flashing lights and the back up camera/monitor.

    Great job,

    Ed

    Big Bee Honey

  • Thanks Ed. Ya lots of lights. If someone hits me they can't say they didn't see me :)

  • Awesome! Bring your outfit ( and your video photographer ) to Iowa USA. We've had record snowfall this year in the Mid-West. You could kept pushing & blowing snow non-stop. Great Video ~ My comtliments to the video photographer. She alway makes you look good! Your Iowa Buddy, Jerry

  • Nice piece of kit. We could have used you at our work place last week, with up to1ft of snow to clear.Good job

  • We haven't had much snow for the last few weeks so I wanted to get it plowed before it melted :) Turn up the heat, pull back the steering column and turn up the CD player and let it rip :) Thanks man!
