  • Are you working on Mario Kart 7?

  • What a great game.

  • Bring back Funky, Retro!

  • Wow, I expected Youtube to notify me about every comment. Apparently this is not the case and I 'm sorry for not responding.

Retro is awesome, hopefully I'll get a chance to work with them again. Retro's attention to detail is impressive to say the least. We scrubbed and play tested the crap out of the game for animations sake. At times it was very draining, but it definitely paid off in the end. I think in the end Diddy had around 3000 seperate animations and DK had about 2000.

  • @Nich1337 Amazing work.

But I'm wondering, why aren't you still working with them? Did they temporarily hire you specifically for DKCR and then you left?

  • @Nich1337 Woops! I didn't read your other comment before replying to you! Forget what i asked, heh.

  • I just played the game and beat the 8 worlds. It was awesome and I look forward to what else Retro brings out. I'm also hoping to work there someday, mostly because they're the only game developers I know of that work for Nintendo in the states... but I need to improve my skills first.

  • Amazing dude! I really glad to see your work!

  • Thanks for the comments guys! Working on the game was a lot of fun and Retro studios was awesome.

I was actually only on contract with Retro Studio's so I have to wait until they get their next project going before I can have a chance working for them again. So in the mean time I am attempting to secure a position at other game studios.

I have more work that I did on the game, but I had some problems with video compression with the pieces showing gameplay so i had to drop those :(.

  • You and everyone else at Retro Studios did an amazing job on the new Donkey Kong. Thank you so much

  • Wow that's really cool

  • UR AWESOME!

  • I think they use the software called Maya. The viewport seems mighty familiar with what I'm using to learn 3D (Maya 2011 students version). :)

  • This is just too cool. It must feel great to work on a video game.

  • Wow, this is fantastic! How's life working at Retro Studios?

  • epic:D

  • Amazing animation!

  • Awesome work. You work at Retro?

    Lucky bastard :P
