hi. just wanna ask somethin maybe if u can help me. i think some virus went into my laptop.. i cant open my trend micro. then i installed AVG free 2011. then i installed the paid trend micro. now i im tryin to uninstall AVG and whenever i uninstall it, my laptop just hangs and stops from removing it. my windows defender isnt workin like it has a "!" on it. my firewall keeps turning off eventhough i turn it on and whenver i restart my laptop. any ideas???
in your last video you mentioned that disabling Java can help you protect yourself from viruses and then enable it for when you actually need it. How do you temporarily disable it?
windows vista and windows 7 is far better for security if a exe file gets executed it will ask you to cancel are allow that way trojans have a harder time getting into the memory. get comodo internet security its free for a life time it has firewall antivirus anti spyware sandbox it just comes loaded with alot usefully things
Ok my gtx 260 superclocked was artifacting or so i thought, i called evga and the rep told me to try out a program called OCCT, i ran the test and my GFX card came back 0 errors on all 10 passes. So my question to you is, how would i be able to tell if it was my psu, ram, mobo, or could it still be my GFX card, but since i ran the test and got zero error on gpu im sure its not. My psu is 500watts, maybe it cant hold up anymore and i need a stronger one now, maybe you can help me, thanks
@GULMORK Swap out parts until the problem goes away. Eventually cross-test parts with a friend if it comes down to critical stuff (e.g. motherboard, CPU).
avast is a good anti virus service and as far as doing the work for people i just watch these videos and figure things out ive had the same dell optipex gx150 computer for over 6 years and it still runs ive always used windows XP and ill probably use it forever vista isint good windows 7 is to complicated
LoL No, vista DOES suck. You can't change the entire My Documents folder's location. It sucks up huge amounts of RAM. DirectX 10 could have easily been ported and MS fought against an XP port. The only good thing about Vista is that it's not on my system. 7 is simply Vista++.
I keep my system pretty clean using spybot S&D and Teatimer but I really wish there was a program that auto-searched each proccess and then gave me a simple report saying this is fine and this is not.
Thanks man for offering help to all the uninformed.
I got process explorer currently, but when I try to kill the process that I think has a virus or trojan it tells me: error opening process: access is denied what do I do??? Thank you
ok disregard the comment i got process explorer now. the unlocker thing, i click unlocker and just about everything just says "No locking handle found" not sure what that is about or if it means anything
Nothing really happens on my computer, but some time when am using some programs the get errors and it says end now or cancel. should I do what you say ???
That is probably happening because they are no longer responding. For example if you click on a program that is "stuck" on something even if temporary XP will ask if you want to kill the program.
thanks for posting both of the videos. the second i disabled all non windows programs the computer ran awesome, after that i ran the super anti virus program you recommended. finally the spyware was showing up. i dont know why but it never was showing up, and if it did, it would freeze. anyway thanks, you saved me alot of money i dont have. i dont know anything about computers and this was very easy to follow.
if someone cant figure this out they are just lazy. it is very easy to do. i dont know anything about computers, but now i know how to get rid of spyware. i have had to use the steps again today ( i went a little crazy downloading stuff lol) and sure enough i got a virus. but now its gone again. im surprised this video hasnt had more views, you're saving people hundreds of dollars and time.
I can't access any of the sites. I believe this has to do with the virus. Whenever I do searches on google I get ads and I can't ever get to the sites that I want to get to. My browser runs dramatically slower and I've done a few system scans and nothing has changed. :(
Hey need help well kinda i was using avast free but it said enter key so i got anti vir but im just wondering why did avast not detect those 23 Viruses called ackz.trogen.acht ??? im puzzled
No it's my personal computer. My other computer which is networked through mine can pull up the internet. I had gotten a prompt asking me if I wanted to halt internet traffic and at the moment I was freaking out so I clicked yes. It's a broadband modem connection.
Well I did all the 1st equation And it worked but then it was bad news: Got trojans. The unlocker didn't work and so many things about the connectivity didn't work as well. It seems that when I open a downloading program it opens my ports. The only way out I see for me and correct me if I'm wrong is to format my hard drive and replace my modem with my telephone company because right now I'm using my friend's. please haters don't reply to this comment.
I wanted to say thanks and that you make sense even to a novice like myself. I don't know what's wrong with those that have trouble. Bwuahahahaha. ....Oh wait I do know.
i did what u showed to do to first hide all microsoft services.and now in start up tab there r onli few start up item onli 7 of r there.its these ctfmon,YAHOOM~1,msmsgs,voipstunt,voipwise,paltalk,DW_Start

Did you download HOME or Pro? You should be using the home edition. Uninstall Pro, install home, register for the key, you're good for a year before you have to reregister.
she has a thing called, antivirus xp 2008, that fake thing, whats the best idea, reformat or try an remove???, I don't wanna do over remote assistance, coz any of her viruses could spread to my computer...
hey do you have to download a antivirus thing like highjack? because my computer is already so screwed up that i cant download it....but i found a few viruses on my computer already here i will save one lazy person to have to go through and look at these viruses
I am trying to fight a spyware, and i find your vid great...just you speak so fast and close, and the images are sometimes blurry...well, let's hope I make it anyway. Just wanna say sth...no beard please, you've got such a nice face.
I have to fit a lot in to a limited amount of time on the video so when you want to try something just pause the video. I want to cover as much as I can as well because there are people who know most but not all of the stuff and will only need parts of the video. Thanks, I don't know by your profile though I hope you're a girl saying this. ;-)

@Vladd7 What browser? In Firefox -> Options -> content. In Opera it's a quick preference. You shouldn't use IE in the first place if you're using IE.

"button is closed" isn't helpful. I can't give advice unless you type proper English that I can understand.
There are individual checkboxes, place a check to enable items you want to startup. If you don't know what it is look it up a search engine.
jabcreations 3 years ago
ctfmon is fine
YAHOOM~1 is fine
msmsgs is fine

it has a lower detection rate than most other anti virus programs.
