@beast12101 As a long time military guy, I prefer those stoves over the Yukon type for many different reasons, if you use the liquid fuel make sure to get extra carburetors for it that's what tends to go in them most often. Good find man.
i would like this one as well. i have the other version. im trying to make a botbelly one from a tank i have. when its done i will post it. biffs military surplus has one multi feul stove left. i bought their other one.
You probably want to open the damper all the way before opening the lid. It would decrease the amount of smoke and flame that comes out while you're trying to load more wood.
We had these during my army years. I once finished a box of C rations and threw it in the stove (where all the high ranking people were sleeping). I had forgotten about the little can of peanut butter though and it exploded, scaring the first sgt and the commander.
Thats a nice stove, its probably a bit smokey when your loading it but it seemed compact enough so it wasnt filling a huge area. I liked it. Thanks. Joe
I hit Craigslist about every day...."Ramennoodleprepping" =) All the craigslist, garage sales, estate sales *which are fun anyway* have allowed me to prep for scenario's that bring about "community".
We don't have any "military surplus" stores up here...and even on the internet I don't see any like I used to see back in the 80's...I think we the people get access to the stuff like we used to?
Nice stove and great advice as always!
