Conviction's goal was to create a very cinematic, very flashy tone to Sam Fisher's poorly conceived story of loss. It failed miserably. To make matters worse, the gameplay was stripped bare to the point of tedium.

I loved the series for its quality.

Conviction is a shameful attempt at attracting the Call of Duty shooter crowd while spitting in the face of the fans who grew up with the series, like myself. I still love and play Chaos Theory, but am disappointed that Ubisoft has decided to take the series in the direction it has. It simply doesn't fit. As for the video and the costume itself, I was 14 or 15. Who cares.

Remember that it's revealed in the novels that Sam DOES kill and have a dark sense of humor, but he doesn't like it and only does so out of necessity. Do what must be done.

As for "they," "they" are the thugs hired by Kobin under orders of Third Echelon's new director, Tom Reed.

Where Sam was once a unique and likable person, he is now nothing more than a forgettable and flat character.

@RyleyAshford Yes, it's a fun badass simulator to burn a few hours on. By now you know that's not what I expect in an SC game. DA is a rare two headed beast in that the last-gen XBOX version, the one developed as a side project by the CT team, is almost on par with CT. The 360 game is bad. The gameplay is choppy and the story is almost non-existent, but I quite enjoy last gen's DA. The decision to take on the Double Agent plotline was the beginning of the end for SC as we knew it.

This game fulfilled that fantasy and gives us a lot to work with in terms of emotional development and makes Sam more of a person instead of just a voice and tool for us to use. Let's go shoot at him and tell him we killed his daughter!" So that's one point you have, that was BAD writing.

@jakascott21 OK, first of all, the SC20K is a modified version of the FN F2000, which is not available in the game. I specifically state, in the annotations, that I was not picking a rifle for its authenticity, but because I like the gun, and I encourage other players to do the same.
@jakascott21 Secondly, Sam wears a tactical vest. Somehow I find it hard to believe that I am a retarded sack of shit for adding knee pads for authenticity's sake. Special operations soldiers wear knee pads. It's as simple as that.
Thirdly, Sam uses the FN Five-SeVen pistol, which, like the FN F2000, is not available in the game.
@metalfrommaine Both weapons are made by FN and they share the same bullpup design, but the FN P90 and the FN F200 are completely separate guns. For one, the P90 is a submachine gun, and the F2K is an assault rifle.

Well this isn't based on Conviction. He wore armor in the older games, you can't put green goggles on and you can't put silencers on the gun's untill your in the actual game.

@jakascott21 OK, first of all, the SC20K is a modified version of the FN F2000, which is not available in the game. I specifically state, in the annotations, that I was not picking a rifle for its authenticity, but because I like the gun, and I encourage other players to do the same.

@jakascott21 Secondly, Sam wears a tactical vest. Somehow I find it hard to believe that I am a retarded sack of shit for adding knee pads for authenticity's sake. Special operations soldiers wear knee pads. It's as simple as that.
Thirdly, Sam uses the FN Five-SeVen pistol, which, like the FN F2000, is not available in the game.

@metalfrommaine Both weapons are made by FN and they share the same bullpup design, but the FN P90 and the FN F200 are completely separate guns. For one, the P90 is a submachine gun, and the F2K is an assault rifle.
