I had the HTC touch bout 2 years ago and i could't stand Windows Mobile being a Mac user since day 1. Then when the iPhone came out I immediately converted and since then my phones have been HTC Touch > iPhone > iPhone 3G > iPhone 3GS. Sorry Windows, Apple is a few steps ahead. Ya...a bit strange. I'm going with Cordsweat. It takes both Apple and AT&T to make it work. Apple is notorious for disabling things from everything. If people found out (like they'd even care) they would be pissed at Apple. But atlas, people will still be ignorant and hold up they're wallets to an inferior company.

just for the record, I just got a phone running windows mobile and windows decided it wont ring when in sleep, I have an ipod touch and many other friends with an iPhone. None of us have a problem with the apple OS, and just after one hour windows screwed up, any comments on that? and besides you can get a refurb 3G for $50.

Iphone can't own any phone with operation system... Iphone is really nice looks better than that htc, but the htc's sofware is much clever. I think if u wanna have a style phone u should buy an iphone, but if u need a phone with good operation system let's go and buy a htc! that's my opinion
iPhones are ok but i used both and i work for at&t and i prefer the touch pro, its more flexible, if u jailbreak an iphone yea it can be flexible too, but winmo does not need to be "jailbreaked" to offer flexibility. I mean winmo is able to mms and cut and paste without a version 3.0 update. one thing he forgot to mention was the screen on the touch pro which is truly an awesome screen with twice the resolution of an iPhone.
I literally have both of those devices, and of course the iphone will be better, it's not ms vs apple issue here. It's just the simple fact that the iphone has a capacitive screen and the ms phone does not. Also I've played around with the fuze with 6.5 on it, (don't ask how I was able to do that) and the iphone is still better, your just going to have to wait til windows mobile 7 which will support capacitive, then ms will rein supreme, i hope.

Very informative video. I personally prefer the HTC Touch Pro mostly because of the physical keyboard. I do a lot of texts so that's a must. What phone works best for you depends on what you want to do. I also forgot that the Touch Pro isn't locked into really expensive plans either. I'm on Sprint so it's much cheaper and data is fast too.

Because what is currently being sold typically has a skin on it. HTC has been using the TouchFLo3d for about a year now on all of their products. Also Microsoft is working on Windows mobile 7 & version 8. The IPhone is great and all but there are many things missing. Neither Apple or Microsoft have done a fantastic job yet; anyone who believes otherwise dont use their phone to its full potential if they are using a Smartphone.

Contrary to most peoples opinion, I think I'd prefere the HTC device with the snazzzy 3d interface. There's just something about it that appeals to me :)
They both come with really good software and they both look very easy to operate. The only thing that turns me off a little bit is the stylus for the Windows phone... nobody feels like losing styluses, whereas the iPhone has a nice finger friendly approach.

When it comes to keyboards I think the HTC is a winner because of the fold out keyboard. iPhone is not that good when it comes to typing in my oinion.
iPhone is really innovative but I can't type extensively using touchscreen. The HTC Touch Pro is practically a PC where you can even use Mobile versions of Microsoft Office. You can even output the device to a television which is really neat. So if you're a gadget person that has to have the "it" product, then go for the iPhone. If you need something with more practical functionality that pretty much offers everything and more than the iPhone, then I would go with the HTC Touch Pro.
Jon, i am a big fan! This video i believe could of been done a little differently. I would of liked to see the difference using the same input device. So we could of really judged how finger friendly the device is or isn't! Especially as compared to the best of all finger friendly devices. The iphone..
I prefer the iPhone. One thing i have noticed with alot of other touch screens is they are much less responsive. Plus i hate using a stylus. Just my opinion though.

Nice job. It's interesting to put these two devices head to head. I still prefer how Apple's iPhone is universal in it's usability; it can be used by a soccer mom or a busy professional, all using the same device/same OS. I think that's the charm of their products. Iphone's battery life is just well, shit. And the browser doesn't support flash (which is a major kill off for me)
Yet the latest HTC products are overpriced, and do not even cover up the ugly windows mobile 6.1 interface.
If i were to choose an iphone it would be the 16gb white, and for htc it would be the touch diamond2.

they re both really nice phones although i really liked the slide out keyboard. i think it would be much easier to text with that.

iPhone is really innovative but I can't type extensively using touchscreen. The HTC Touch Pro is practically a PC where you can even use Mobile versions of Microsoft Office. You can even output the device to a television which is really neat. So if you're a gadget person that has to have the "it" product, then go for the iPhone. If you need something with more practical functionality that pretty much offers everything and more than the iPhone, then I would go with the HTC Touch Pro.

Jon, i am a big fan! This video i believe could of been done a little differently. I would of liked to see the difference using the same input device. So we could of really judged how finger friendly the device is or isn't! Especially as compared to the best of all finger friendly devices. The iphone..

I prefer the iPhone. One thing i have noticed with alot of other touch screens is they are much less responsive. Plus i hate using a stylus. Just my opinion though.

hey i dont know if they will have the conference anymore or not because yesterday apple released a refreshed line of desktop computers and thats what people thought weould be in the conference so now i guess its up to you

Nice job. It's interesting to put these two devices head to head. I still prefer how Apple's iPhone is universal in it's usability; it can be used by a soccer mom or a busy professional, all using the same device/same OS. I think that's the charm of their products. If my mom can use her iPhone as well as she does, Apple's doing something right! LOL
