fuel emissions, and just plain moving forward with technology...The 2 stroke motor was pretty much mastered and still had problems. The four stroke now produces better more broad power band which is technically faster..

It just lacks a bit of compression through the now non existent water jacket.

What happens is after you rebored it you just drop the piston into the great big hole where the sleeve used to be and voila 750cc - Best not to add coolant as that may interfere with the fuel air mix down that GREAT BIG HOLE!

To make it go you have to hum the sound of the motor and push real fast

The Maico Mega, if my memory doesn´t fail me, is the fastest dirtbike produced. The Mega 2, 500 cc. I think it ran over 200 km/h on a oval dirt track. They went bankrupt in 1986. But it´s a killer dirtbike.
