how is the coralife working out if your still running it? dou you still have the 65w 10k and 65w actinic in it? i have the same light on my 20L and this is the first time i seen someone else with it.
damn this is beautiful. i have a 20 long and i am converting it to a reef tank and just curious what type of lighting do u use if you can give me the specifics and about how much this light will cost
i myself is starting a saltwater aquarium and i only have some flouresant lights i used fr my pythons but im looking for lights like yours what lighting is it
Such a cool tank lol....anyways i was just wondering how much would you say it costs to get alll the coral and rock and stuff for a reef ???...and is it hard to look after and maintain ? thank ....Such a aswesome tank
picis4u - yes, i agree. i have a hang on back refugium that i did not put back on (it used to hold the heater in there away from the main tank). i'm going to put the hang on back refugium back in and probably remove the aquac remorea skimmer and use the oldschool lee's limestone tupe skimmer (held in the refugium).
i have a 14g what light can i use Or can you send me a link of site with light i can use.. i got two clowns and life rock but i wants some corals now lolz
pelotera19 - what are the dimensions of your 14g tank? I have a very good lighting system that fits the dimensions of the 10 gallon tank that would work very well. I'll send you a message.
** this is a followup on the aquac remora skimmer.
i still believe it to be a good skimmer but it requires too much maintenance on my part (i'm a lazy reefer). i prefer having a refugium with the cheap/old school limestone skimmers. with those you can easily remove, it's a hassle removing the aquac from the main tank.
reggie503 - I picked out the live rock from 3 different local retailers and placed them in with no adhesives. it is very stable. i have 3 "larger" pieces at the base and use smaller pieces to wedge the mdeium sized pieces to the top. the base pieces are about 1-2 inches away from the back glass. the top pieces touch/rest on the back glass. hope this helps!

does that aquac remora protein skimmer work good
fishboy793 3 years ago
yes, it is a good skimmer. takes like a week to break in (if it's brand new). you do have to clean it once a month.
