  • Glad you done this Gene , Thank You . Too many forget what all was given , and what is still being given .

  • Thank you.

  • You have done a wonderful service. I am 100% Disabled with PTSD.... the internal war is hell. You have said it so wonderfully. Thank you.

  • @UXZ28 Thanks for saying so Greg. T-Poe and I are both grateful when people appreciate our work and take the time to let us know, especially vets. I'm sorry for your loss and wish you the best in your recovery.

  • Thanks.

  • Thank you Gene!

One of these days we'll have to meet up and share some thoughts.

  • Gene, this song made me cry as much as your "Nothing's Impossible Now" duet with DeLonde made me smile. I am forwarding this to all of my friends and family on Facebook, as well as folks on my personal email list. On behalf of my Uncle Bill Driscoll, my cousin Bob Fairfield and my friend Mike Walsh (all of whom served in Viet Nam and were lucky enough to make it home), thank you so much for writing this.

  • Tingles over my whole body before you even hit line four. I had friends go off to war, some who came back, some who didn't, some who came back who I think wished they hadn't..... and it just keeps happening. You are so right. You say it perfectly. An amazing collaboration, and, Gene, your voice is just so touching as you sing this. I will certainly be posting it in Thursday, and I hope it gets heard far and wide!

  • Thanks for the great comments everyone. We're off to a nice start. I think the time is right for a "Vet Aid" concert to raise money and awareness about PTSD related issues. Anyone know Willie Nelson? Pitch it to him! And please forward this video out on Veteran's Day.

  • @GeneBurnett I'm in.

    Sooner than later.

  • Fitting tribute, indeed, Gene. Thanks to you, Doug and T-Poe for taking the time to create and post a vid we all need to see and share. All the best. ~ Mark

  • You, Doug and T-Poe created a very meaningful message that deserves a wide audience. A first step I would suggest is that we all post a link to our Facebook friends this Thursday on Veterans Day.

  • @GlamHulaGal That's what I have in mind as well. I just wanted to start getting the word out early. Please forward to anyone you know who might be touched by this. Maybe Willie Nelson or some other heavy hitter will see it and decide to have a "Vet Aid" concert. Or, if someone wanted to include my song on a benefit compilation, I'd happily donate it. The effects of war last long after the war itself....

  • Wow. This is an powerful song and the video is an excellent reflection the music and lyrics. Well done.

  • This works. This, this is good.

  • this song has made me tear up a few times already, I really appreciate what you have done here. I also loved the fact that I know you guys....... nice, touching

  • really nice job, Gene. :) sad to consider such a huge loss.
