Tingles over my whole body before you even hit line four. I had friends go off to war, some who came back, some who didn't, some who came back who I think wished they hadn't..... and it just keeps happening. You are so right. You say it perfectly. An amazing collaboration, and, Gene, your voice is just so touching as you sing this. I will certainly be posting it in Thursday, and I hope it gets heard far and wide!

Maybe Willie Nelson or some other heavy hitter will see it and decide to have a "Vet Aid" concert. Or, if someone wanted to include my song on a benefit compilation, I'd happily donate it. The effects of war last long after the war itself....
