What year is it? If it's pre 2000 then the coil packs are going to be a pain. Took us about 4 hours on jack stands to instal the headers, y pipe, and new plugs and spark plug wires.
how hard is it to install headers on an LS1? i maybe am considering headers but maybe not long tubes... any advice? did you have to take apart a lot of the engine bay to get to them or what?
Depends on what you have cluttered around your block, If you have the clearence for them and dont have to reroute alot of tubeing and other secondary system crap to make space there vary easy to install, just a fue bolts and some support ties. Just make sure you to messure your clearence around things like your steering collum befor chooseing your headers.
