@eastlondone2 we should all promote it somehow, what if we give links for these vids on our youtube channels, and inshallah more people will watch this video? what do you think, bro?
"From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments,as lawful."
So the question does rely on each individual, and we all know that the ummah living in the western world, can be a challenge for them which is why people like Abdul basit, native deen, 786 nd many more have created nasheeds with musical melodies,
but however there are artist such as KAMAL UDDIN, who ONLY use their voice, alhumdulillah he is a very good hafiz aswell... but in my personal opinion i hope Inshallah to just stop listening to nasheeds all the same as many of them contain too much music, and just listen to quran.
There are actually 5 type of people in this topic:
But i'd advise ppl to just listen to quran, if anyone doesn't have the quran on mp3 format then just giv me a message nd i'll be more than happy to email the quran on audio to you.
My dear brothers and sisters, nothing good for the soul is haram. Music is one vehicle to express the truth. We have to guard against the destruction of faith and choose the good over bad. Allah gives us good things to enjoy and I believe music is one of them.
May Allah (Sub Hana Wa Ta'ala) continue to bless those who have a comforting spirit and bringing the good for all to enjoy, amin.
the reason why it is haram to listen to music is because when one of adam's PBUH son died shaytan came and played the drums, but in the prophet (SAW) time the prophet used a daam which is a tamborine without a drum, so music is from shaytan and if we listen to it we will be followers of shaytan and we will be mislead
just to let people know, ask the scholars who have inherited knowledge from valid authentic traditional scholars. Alhough theres no clear cut prohibition (yes they the scholars like a judge has looked at the 1000's for hadith/narrations i.e on instruments) many of them say songs like this type are valid/permissible aslong as content/context good due to many factors.
Its dawa like this from Mustafa that guided me to The Deen while other Muslims where busying themselves with arguing over the length of miswak! InshaAllah young muslims and non Muslims caught up in nasty Shaytaan inspired Rap Music will migrate back to Islam via this style of Rap....especially when other means of dawa ain't reaching them. The social context of the belly of the beast necessitates this form of dawa. Other parts of the world may not need to take this route.
All praises due to Allah..and peace and love to my brotha AB. Hey, say what you will about 'haram'...lol..this music..this sound..this Message inspires thought and reflection on Allah our prophet muhammad (pbuh)...
Ey, AB..i'm still buyin at least 5 bro. Peace Peace
do you know the reason behind that? It's because, music can be used to put people into a trance to do the wrong. I mean when people do a qwali (sp) they have different instruments, but nobody says anything. This sound track actually brings more to what he's saying. I'm just saying that things were different back then. Like some things can't apply to today. Music can be haraam, but look at what is being said or done, not just the instruments.
@Apocalypse487 to be honest, qawalis with no meaning, branded as Islamic, are no better than spitting rubbish. The fact is, it's about the vocals, masha allah mustafa abdul basit, very good nasheed.

Asslamaulaykum 2 all those reading, the debate over the whole 'Music' theory is very explicit,
Narrated by Abu 'Amir or Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: that he heard the Prophet saying,

1) those who don't permit singing nasheeds
2) those who permit but voice ONLY
3) those who permit the instrument 'Duff' only
4) those who permit every instrument.
5) those who also permit the non-islamic music.
But i'd advise ppl to just listen to quran, if anyone doesn't have the quran on mp3 format then just giv me a message nd i'll be more than happy to email the quran on audio to you.

please don´t argue brothers...
read the sunna of our beloved prophet sallalahu alaihi wa salam
it´s true that just a few instruments are allowed....
trust me there are lots of other nasheeds and illahis you can listen too
like NATIVE DEEN or 786 for example
try to avoid every haram
no matter how many people say it´s ok, read the hadith and follow him inshAllâh
may Allâh subhana wa ta´ala guide us the right way... amîn :)
wa salam
