I am from Peoria IL but this game was the first finals and college basketball game I ever watched and I've been a Tarheels fan ever since. But I also like UK because of all my cousins in Kentucky XD. They don't like it though when I rock my UNC stuff.

But they didn't play North Carolina in the regular season, who earned their way into the championship just like Illinois did, and then beat them fair and square. It doesn't matter who was the best team that year if they weren't the best team that night.

Sean May was allowed to do whatever he wanted to in the post and all Augustine could do was stand there cuz they called every god damn foul on him!!!! He didn't get a fair chance at defending May! People around the country beat off to unc way too much, including the f***ing refs! Illinois can't get any respect from anyone, no matter what they do! You'll never convince me that UI got a fair shake in this game. UNC was HANDED the title on a silver platter. I've always wanted to shoot some truth serum in the ASSES of the refs and the media. Those guys were worshipping at the altar of the ACC, UNC, and Roy Williams. It was so F***ing obvious. Just think of some of the great upsets in history. Kansas, NC St,, Villanova. It is true that nobody Illinois had could guarded Sean May but James Augustine could have at least helped out if the refs would have just kept their foul calling consistent in that game. After Augustine "touch fouled out" it didn't seem like the refs called the fouls that way again. Congrats to Roy Williams on what was his first national championsip. He will likely get another in 2009 with was is an excellent North Carolina team. (coming from an illini fan) :)
