  • Hard working people can move anything forward but when you hang 41% non working people to the load progress comes to a hault. imagine what the USA would be like if everyone handled their load like this?

  • More on moving heavy objects, check out this on youtube: Building Stonehenge - "This Man can Move Anything"

  • i never nEVER in my LIFE IMagined ANYTHING CLOSE TO THIS> love it love it! tlhankssss!

  • And a raisin was used as a camera!

  • So cool!

  • this is awesome :-)

  • What an awesome video! See, knowing God and mathematics can achieve the impossible! You kids stay in school and you too will be able to accomplish unbelievable things with God!

They prayed and... "Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."

    Luke 18:27

  • And they did it without the Government getting involved!

  • Guess they had to top the Amish, who moved a barn a mile up the road.

Just google amish move barn and there will be links to click on. Happened in 2003

  • @Gma1456

FYI, this barn was moved back in the 80's, I remember when it happened.

  • @Gma1456 Doesn't make sense.... This happened in July 1988 so how could they be trying to top the Amish in January 4th 2003??!! D'oH!!!

  • If they danced while while moving it, would that be a barn dance?

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Many hands make light work

  • I want this farmer to be my next president and every person who participated to become the next Senate and Congress! They know how to recognize necessity, create a solution and get it accomplished ---all without having to be "paid" to complete difficult tasks! That is what America needs instead of greedy selfish politicians who rape the American people every day without any consequence. Get 'em on the ballot --- QUICK!

  • wow!! so COOL!!! way to go BRUNO!

    this was great!

  • Bad luck is hard to loose- Unless you have Nebraska people around. They are always willing to help! They can "Get'er Done!"

  • I don't think that there was one person under 30 years old on that barn. Hmm, probably they were helping mom in the kitchen.

  • most awesome

  • go USA

  • but yet the pyramids must have been aliens because people coulden't lift 17,000lbs without a crane

  • this is awesome

  • This video needs its tracking adjusted.

    /feels old now

  • Tried to move Barn

    (Socially Awesome Penguin)

    Went better than expected

  • and they say we couldnt have build the pyramids....

  • Did they have Windows 1.0?

  • NOW DOES IT MAKE SENSE HOW THE PYRAMIDS WERE BUILT?!

  • This shows what community can really do!

  • WOW-what a concept. Something can be done without a VOTE, a DEMONSTRATION, or a WAR.

  • This has nothing to do with political affiliations (Conservative/Socialist/Communist/Liberal/Progressive) or otherwise. This is about people working together. This is how most of our cities, towns, and this whole great nation was built. What a fantastic message to everyone out there - the real power lies with the people. When enough people unite in a common cause, they can do anything.

  • @jtgonavy Hence the need to keep the people fractured along political/religious lines.

  • I could tell this wasn't the OWS protesters because I saw people helping someone else without asking what was in it for themselves.

  • This sure adds new meaning to the words "barn raising".

  • How about if we all lift the White House with Obama still in it and move it to Cuba?

  • Years ago we moved a large chicken house this way with a H. S. ag class over very uneven ground. Most farmers would have borrowed a bunch of jacks, raised the barn enough to get a grid of timbers under it and rolled it on logs with their tractor. Any unevenness in the ground would strain the building possibly breaking a few windows making yours probably a safer way for the building. A few old time Americans that built this country are still around. You just have to look harder.

  • This is teamwork and what Americans are made of, the will and ability to get together for the greater good of one, their neighbor

  • buncha communists

  • This is good old fashioned neighbors helping neighbors!!! God Bless them all

  • love that sound track :p

  • Well the math is easy enough. If every man lifts 100 lbs then it weighs 34,400. 17 tons isn't much of a barn but still a great project! They will all have a great story for life. The young ones hopefully learned something about the old timers ! My father is 84 and works 50 hours a week and he is in demolition.

  • Lift with your legs! --I like the guy at 2:35- one had on the rail, just sort of walking along:)

  • 0:22 think you can lift it? ohh yeah i can lift 90 pounds hahahaha

  • Many hands make light work, proved!

  • This was when America was America. Now it is just bullshit cooperations and banks. Fuck Wall Street and all it's striped from us! We are Americans! We are more than money! We have lead this world for over 50 years now. And dammit we will sink these piece of shit cooperations with their infection of greed! We are more than a bottom line! We are people! We are Americans! And we will lead!

  • @DominicRiv BRAIN DEAD DIPSHIT!!!!!!

  • Heh... well.... not to ruin the message of teamwork and all that...

But here's one man moving a barn on his own with simple equipment that may be cheaper than the framework they used here

    /watch?v=-K7q20VzwVs&feature=related#t=2m00s

    Power of technology?

  • they/he said they had not much money, but how much did it cost to build that frame?more's the point, what about the cost of all the food and beers for the people that took part?

  • what if it was the wrong barn?

  • Fake.

  • @Bullseye5477 My father-in-law was one of the people who helped move this barn. I have seen where it was and where it now rests...Definitely NOT FAKE.

  • This is a great inspiration for a flash mob...

  • Spot the black guy!

  • Wadsworth constant applies.

  • See? Americans CAN work hard. Or at least, they used to.. now it's up to the visible minority to do the heavy lifting while the majority sit at home, getting fat.

  • wadsworth constant. yep.

  • About 50 pounds a person. Not bad!

  • Finally we learnt something from ants.

  • WHAT IF WE TAKE THE BARN, AND MOVE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE!?

  • Wadsworth constant checks out yet again.

  • WHAT IF WE PICKED IT UP AND MOVED IT SOMEWHERE ELSE

  • Just like ants XD

  • 480p is really starting to look shitty.

  • WE SHOULD TAKE BIKINI BOTTOM AND PUSH IT SOMEWHERE ELSE

  • @FiZZY371 exactly what i was thinking

  • Chuck Norris could lift a barn and all 344 people at the same time.

  • Hells I can lift 90 pounds.

  • THEY BE STEALIN' OUR BEEEERNS

  • oh spongebob

  • hicks

  • Wadsworth constant applies

  • That's roughly 50 pounds per person.

  • We should take this barn, and push it somewhere else!

  • @musicalxkiwi99 nice SB reference

  • I knew pikmin were more than a videogame

  • Wadsworth constant? Applied.

  • each person is only carrying about 50 lbs of weight.. not alot but still impressive

  • Wadsworth constant applies.

  • wadsworth constant applies

  • actual lift happens at 1:04

  • Each person only had to lift 49 pounds of course they could move it

  • Let's take the barn, and push it somewhere else!

  • Wadsworth constant applies.

  • Funny, I thought "barn raising" meant something else.

The third movement is what "barn dance" really means. Swing your partner...

  • The Wadsworth constant does in fact apply to this video.

  • coudlve been a good prank if everybody would let go of the house and some guy gets his arms ripped out

  • this is pretty cool. only like 50 lbs each

  • FOR THE SWARM

  • Socialists...... imagine the group helping the one. I did not think they had those kind of people in Nebraska.

  • @polipolimaui1 You are missing a critical point. Conservatives willingly help people where they see a need - without the government telling them to. Socialists/Communists/Liberals/Progressives take from others - against their will - to give to people where there may or may not be a true need.

  • @Snidely175 No the real difference is that Conservative don't give even when they see a need and complain if they are made to help others. To many people only care about how much money they can make and not for their fellow man. Stop helping corporations that are only interested in making the rich richer and start helping people who are only trying to make a living.

  • TEAM

    Together Everyone Achieves More

  • I really enjoyed this one!

  • See what you can do with a little prayer and allot of muscle, great job, Thank-you LORD. ThAnk goodness the government stayed out of this and no protesters saying no prayer, give the country back to the people.

  • Today they would have been fined by OSHA, the EPA, some historical preservation statutes, etc., etc., etc.

The 'correct' way to do this is to apply for a federal grant so the apparatchicks have something to justify their existance, as they prevaricate and pontificate for five years and five billion dollars and evetually declare the barn an eco hazard and have it demolished by a politically connected contractor.

  • @kouzgondeh You made me laugh. Isn't that the truth .

  • I want to retire to a place like this. Just good folks.

  • Cool

  • We'd a blown it up in Casa Grande and built a new one!

  • @PackardTFord

Or you could have left with the doors open and the keys in it and the Mexicans would have stolen it for you.

  • My wife and I saw somethinig similar on the South Pacific island of Rarotonga. It was during an annual celebration of south seas culture. A huge canoe was built that was to participate in a voyage to Hawaii. The canoe was made of wood, stood about 10 feet tall and was close to 100' long. They moved tha canoe about a half mile to the shore and launched it. And yes, sometimes it take a village.

  • 50.8 Pounds each

  • what did u record this with? a toaster?

  • now thats real American power.

  • I'm actually from Bruno Ne and my dad participated in it

  • That's Real America.

  • The government could have done this in 3-4 months for $250,000.

  • Now you can understand how the pyramids may have been built!

  • @Marquardt51 Except that each stone weighed at least as much as that barn, and I'm pretty sure you can't fit 344 people under one of those... But yes, organized teamwork can accomplish amazing things!

  • @Marquardt51 Not even close. A 1000 ton rock isn't going to be moved by people lifting it. You can't get enough hands on the rock.

It could be an answer to obvious MUCH SMALLER rocks, but it doesn't even come close to explaining how rocks that weigh many hundreds of tons were moved.

  • @Marquardt51 Not sure if this is a joke or not.

  • @Marquardt51 Yes I sure do, that barn seemed awful heavy, being solid rock and all.

  • @Marquardt51 Pyramids couldn't have been built this way. A rock that size is a lot more dense than a hollow barn. No way people all around it could lift it.

  • @Marquardt51 Yes, it was aliens.

  • @Marquardt51 was just about to type the exact same thing!

  • White people are so cool! Competent, patient, cool, controlled, smart, and helpful. White people are the BEST!

  • @ThusSpakeDenise Black people built the pyramids in Egypt, yellow people built the great wall of China, brown people built the Banaue Rice Terraces, red people built the Palenque in Mexico...Its not the color of your skin, its the love for your neighbor that matters, because below the skin we all have red blood.

  • @RNorman1000 The Ancient Dynastic Egyptians were Caucasians, you moron. And FROGS have red blood. Are you a frog? Race is DNA.

  • My dad was one of the movers

  • One person dropped a barn on their toe.

  • Who is the silly kook that said they didn't like that video?

  • @ninjabarbie808 Some non-White racist hater - who's jealous.

  • WELL, THATS HOW ANTS DO IT!

  • I had no idea there were that many people in Nebraska.

  • Craziest shit ever.

  • WELLLLLLL...... AIN'T THAT A HOOT!!! :-)

  • I was on the inside helping move this, it was incredible. It was also a lot of fun.

  • WOW, now that is truly human engineering at its best!

  • @Marquardt51

wh. Whah.. WHA?! WHAA?!! WHO USES REALPLAYER THESE DAYS>!?!

  • I've had it on my computer for years ... sorry you couldn't find it on their archives, as you can see in the beginning, it showed the film crew and local news station, so I assumed it was their footage, you should be able to download it from my YouTube video and save it on your computer. I have no idea if anyone else still has this video, which is why I saved it, in case I could never find it again.

  • I first saw it when a friend used it as a video illustration in a sermon ... I finally found it on the internet somewhere, and in only one spot, downloaded it to save it for use in a sermon as well. And decided I'd better hang on to since I couldn't find it again on the internet later. Put it on my YouTube so others could be blessed by these great people. It was originally done I belive by the local news station in near Bruno

  • @Marquardt51 I searched the WOWT archives, but didn't have any record of it online. I would love to find a hard copy it!! Any help would be so greatly appreciated

  • I would like to know where you found this video??? My Dad is the last person talking to the camera at the end!!! He passed away in 2008. My sister and I never knew it existed and would love to get ahold of a hard copy of this.

  • @bikergramps40

How exciting to have found a video of your father. I hope you find the copy you seek.

  • would love to have seen this from a hundred feet up with time lapse. Well ya have to love what ya got. Thanks, This is fun.

  • May be the pyramids were built by humans on this earth only.

  • How nice to see something positive re America! Actually, if you get out of the damnable American cities, there are tons of nice, positive people and things.

  • Yea yea yea. If 350 people helped me I could be much more productive.

  • Does give new meaning to the old phrase, "Barn Raising" This is a great exmaple of the kind of spirit that this country was built on; and what we need again today! Working together even a few can do amazing things, these people are an inspiration to the real term, "Neighbors"

  • @Marquardt51 - "these people are an inspiration to the real term, "Neighbors""

Which is why a certain cabal was determined to flood the country with non-Whites. It started with the change in immigration laws in 1965 - Professor Kevin MacDonald did a great study on it.

  • amazing i think i saw my dad out there!!!

  • It's all fun and games until someone gets crushed by a barn.

    Oops I tripped!

  • Imagine if that thing slipped off the skids...somebody would be hurt.....K

  • THIS is America!

And THESE people are the SALT OF THE EARTH!

  • @Pickinbuddy AMEN!

  • are there any other vids of this move?

  • I'll bet that these people know how to correctly sing our National Anthem, too!

  • '

what about female, lady, woman can carry a barn move

  • When was this? I'm thinking about 1988? Quite a unique event to make a community centennial celebration uniquely special.

  • It is this kind of spirit that made this country great ... or any country!

  • "why has this world lost so much of this type of love where real-people help their neighbor rather than stepping on others backs to get what they want?"

I'm not sure about where you live but these kind of folks are all around here. In fact I'm sure there are quite a few even near you. Try to get out more and when you do, smile. That way folks know you aren't out to step on them.

  • The announcer was almost like callin a square dance! Great clip thanks for sharing.

  • This could only happen in "Flyover" America. Where Folks are still Folks. And to think there was not a Union Contract on this job.

  • Just like Yoda said "there is no try there is only do" These people forgot how heavy that barn was and remembered how strong they were togeather and did something really cool. A lesson everyone can learn from.

  • Great feat! Now let me tell you how it would be handled here in the PRK. First, you would have to have an environmental impact study done, taking several years and thousand of dollars. The health board would have to inspect the food on site. You would have to use union medical, fire and police to stand by. The ACLU and the NAACP would be there making sure all races are utilized. Except for the Asians, cause they'd own the barn. And no Mexicans there cause they couldn't start their cars.

  • @jnetusil we haven't lost that. you just saw a prime example of it. happening all over the country, every day.

  • @jnetusil In talking to my grandmother it used to be that way. It still is in my community. If someone needs help, we all pitch in. But with the advent of government entitlements and liberalism, it's all disappearing.

  • Great job! but I am wondering - did that leave you a whole bunch of holes in the barn to fix from those pipes?

  • I could use those fellows to lift me outta bed in the morning. It would take all of them and a few of those ladies lookin' on. :)

  • LOVED THIS. Puts a whole NEW meaning to having a barn raising!

Whoever thought to do this was a genius!

  • LOVED THIS. Puts a whole NEW meaning to having a barn raising!

I calculated it out. At 17,000 pounds and with 344 people lifting, it would only come out to roughly 49.42 pounds each. Whoever thought to do this was a genius!

  • God Bless them all.... If only we could get rid of the illegal alien in our WHITE HOUSE - this Country could work together again and fix all that is wrong... Sad indeed.... We need more of this "COMMUNITY" togetherness !!!!

  • @top8889 This was a great video of people -helping- each other. Obviously you DON'T get it.

We don't need your kind of hatred!

  • @top8889 gosh, you're a hateful person. shame on you.

  • @frieda406 For the yoyo's...who have no clue....

Watch this......and tell me whether or not you agree..... If you don't ....you need to go back to where you came from... frieda , you need to get with the real world.. top

    john-wayne-on-what-he-wanted-most-for-his-newborn-daughter/

  • @top8889 dumbass, i'm from the bruno area. i know exactly what the real world is and it's not filled w/hate like the tiny speck you occupy. move on, dude. bother someone else.

  • @frieda406 So tough at long distance. To my face -- you would be the fly crap on the wall....

  • @top8889 Just don't get it do you? In communities you work together for a common goal. You wouldn't know how to work with someone if it hit you in the head. YOU are the problem in community. Only YOU can solve the problem. Stop hating, you don't have to love someone to work with them. Get over it and get to work.

  • For all the lifting stuctures I would think you could have put some wheels under it and pushed it wear you wanted to go.

  • @biclink There's a lot of math involved but, in the video, they said it needed to be moved to higher ground. That means they were moving up-hill. On rollers, the barn would have kept trying to roll back down the hill. The rollers would have created even more fri
