    I've always had to pay more then $100. Depends where you are tho. Really it comes down to supply & demand. For the most part however, you really do get what you pay for. If you found a good deal and find you're getting what you want then all the power to you.

    I can only speak from my experience and the situation of the market I'm in. When in Tokyo I paid $160 at Rickson Gracie's school for 3 classes a week and have never seen lower than $100 for quality instruction/facilities here.

  • I have always received top quality instruction, and have never paid more than $70 a month. The only reason big schools charge more than that is because they have black belt instructors, or offer more in their program than just BJJ, for example access to traditional gym facilities between classes. Oh, and that $70 a month was for 5 days a week of training, not some sort of "you can attend 3 classes a week" plan.
