Look, we know how these parties work. They develop talking points and create a framework for their arguments - and depending on what level surrogate you are, you're given different responsibilities. Rep. Bachman, who was in a presumably safe district (crimson even), is given the chance to throw some dark and heavy mud because she doesn't have as much risk on the table.
