I'm 22 years old and i'm going in for Fraxel treatment at the end of November. Watching your video has almost turned me off though. Why does my doctor and some other websites say there is little to no pain? Why? lol. I don't like being confused. Help!
@ashdog236 I understand your concern. Their are different levels for heat used during Fraxel. Fraxel machines have changed in the in the last few yrs. In the video it was 3 yrs back. They have improved with new hand wands and lasers. In this video I opt for a double laser zap, the first zap was for resurfacing and the 2nd zap went deeper into the dermis...I found the double zap or double pulse to be painful....It depends on the settings and how many passes you have in one treatment.
yeah, i got some good results. Prob not worth the price but I like my results. The pain is almost unbearable and Id be afraid to go for some more treatments.
@nickster3k If you have another treatment. see if you can get some kind of pain med subscribed to you. You will need to pain meds 45 minutes before the laser. this helps a whole lot. You need more than tylenol
Fraxel treatments are tolerable, there is only some discomfort depending on each clients sensitivity. If you haven't undergone Fraxel laser treatment to get rid of ugly acne scars, fine lines/ wrinkles, you have missed the most sophisticated and advanced skin surface repair system ever. Fraxel is FDA approved and is much better than CO2 Lasers or Dermabrasion
i am 40 years ols and i work on swimming pool and get alot of sun and ive have gotten wrinkles prety much all over my face i look about 45 or 50 yeras old how would this help me and i smoke cigerettes also and have wrinkles around my mouth to would this completly get rid of all of that and how much does it cost
@whatsmyname252 this would definitely help at your age. also, chemical peels could be really good. but the brutal truth is you have to wear your sunscreen and a good moisturizer at night, stick to a good routine, and get on track to good health (i.e. trying to quit smoking). itll do MIRACLES for your skin.
I can't believe he has to tell her to turn up the speed of the laser. WTF?? Doesn't she know how to turn up the speed automatically so she isn't causing this guy unnecessary pain??? I would NEVER go to see this lady after seeing this video. He obviously has a low pain threshhold.
i had 6 treatments done two years ago for acne scarring...but my laser was rolled onto my face with one to three passes. They put green solution on my face and numbed it..but man, it was so damn painful. It felt like as if my face was being scorched with a torch, almost literally. I want to get three more treatments but reluctant because of the pain.
@nickster3k Make sure you have a prescription of pain meds, before undergoing a laser treatment. Once I got my hands on a prescription of Darvecet or demeral, I took 2 meds 24 minutes before hand and this helped..Did you have any great results with the treatments?
@Ahhapictures Thank you ! But I have a couple of deep scars from chicken pox . Do you think this laser will work on those too? This is why I would dare to use a laser, I want to get rid so those scares once in for all !!! How does this laser work? It peels your skin or...? I saw blook on your face, as if someone would have used needles on your skin ! ! ! I guess it was really painful . Is it?
@sprecorina This will help soften the chicken pox scars, you will need about 3 treatments and they will improve a lot. It feels like rubber bands snapping your face. It hurts some, but take some pain meds 45 minutes before the surgery
did u get fraxel done for acne scarring? if so how were the results? i got some terrible acne scars on my face and wud really like to try out fraxel soon only i'd really appreciate some first hand reviews from people who've already gotten it done..
@crazy6on9 Yes, this will help improve your acne scars very much. Fraxel laser resufacing, with 3 sessions will improve. You can also do this once a yr for life and keep fine lines and wrinkles away and keep improving your skin.
@diehardcutie Yes, I did use the numbing cream, but it may not have been the real good kind of numbing cream...Actually, she uses a better kind now and when I did it the 2nd time, it hurt less.
@ashish2222 ....I do know it would have been better, but I had no idea that this video was going to get a lot of views...knowing this now...I will take before, during and after pics....thanks for sharing..
Take the pain meds 1 hr or 45 minutes before, so they have time to kick in and work during the procedure... I had the DR prescibe me something for pain Darvecet and I took 2 of them before hand....this helped. ...
fraxel can be painful for sensitive skin. mine was pretty painful. the meds i was put on before the precedure made it easy but can only imagine how much it would have hurt without. but the results are amazing and not to mention the wooooooooo meds haha.
your correct, no meds, don't do it...it is too painful and can waste your money, because you can not get through the number of passes of the skin... I did not make it through all the laser passes on this treatment without pain meds...
this procedure worked very well, but I was not ready for the pain this time around. I needed some pain meds, which were prescribed by the Dr on my 3rd and 4th sessions...She did a great job and all my scars are gone.
It takes about 4 days to completely heal and go to work, but it can be as fast as 3 days. you will look a bit pink, not bad though. I would repeat this maybe 3 times and space it out over 6 weeks each session, to see some results...
i have the same problem dude , any suggestion guys , is it really good , or will it spoil my face more later on in life when i age . what the price and how many sittings
Thanks for your answer!I had erbium I had infact anesthtic cream & injections, down time about 7days. I am starting to see the results after 3weeks now. I d like to go for a 2nd one, but my doctor says I cant have another treatment not before 12months from the 1st one. Lovelaurna,It did hurt, but c'on it isnt the end of the world! I am actually looking forward to my 2nd one!The bad thing is the sun,,,I live in Spain where the sun is always shining!!I am wearing sunblock cream all the day long!
I had your same treatment (I guess) about 9days ago. I had anesthetic cream+ 2anesthetic injections.I had the whole face done and 2passes on my cheeks. I m just a bit pink at the moment & I dont see great results so far.How long do I need to wait to see them?I hope I havent wasted my money (2500euros)!Also I m confused..what the difference between frazxel , CO2 & the erbium?Hope to get rid of my awfull scars ...Thanks!!
In order to get decent results, with Fraxel, you should, atleast, repeat it and best results, is the third full treatment. Co2 and erbium, tends to resurface, a bit deeper and removes more surfaces area and deeper layers. Fraxel or fraxtionated laser, like I had, tends to remove the skin, in pin point dots, leaving healthy skin, in between, the dots. Laser and erbium, do not leave any unsurfaced skin behind and takes more down time and is more painful, the fraxel.
I don't know if this works on the shoulders, but I do know, she usese it on the neck, to tighten the skin on the neck some. It may work on the shoulders, depening on what your problem is.
I had this treatment , it is a non ablative laser fractional, well it is not that expensive as 2500 euros !!! I paid 400 Swiss Francs ! and my doctor told me I need 6-8 times, one by month, My acnes scars are small holes in my cheeks and my forehead, also he told me that there is no downtime, only 24 hours the next day I could go to work, nothing strange happened to my face, but I feel that my face is burnt ! l I will continue the treatment to see what will happen !
It helps with scars, it will soften them. I think, it is worth it, but not at very high heat level. I will do this again, but at lower heat and depth on the laser passes.
Yes, you are correct, this was not fraxel. I just found out, that my procedure was erbium laser used by a Fractional laser machine. Since this machince was called fractional, i thought i was getting fraxel..My procedure was erbium laser, which was painful.
She did give me a topical anesthetic cream, but it did not help much. Also, because she used a 6mm gauge, which causes the laser beam to go a little deeper/ more intense, the downside is that is only covered a very small area,at a time, and it was painful. I was going to have three passes and the forehead performed, but I could only get through 2 passes and I did not do the forehead. I hope your procedure goes well. Good luck.
