One question...You did not mention the amount of onion to use in your video...You mentioned 1/4 cup each of the vegetables...But you used much more onions than 1/4 cup...

    Thank you!

  • @jactranr1

  • Her accent is kinda korean/ chinese

  • @aish103

    Enjoy!

  • @aish103 she has an accent because indians always try to make up some accent since they hate their accent..... thats a mixup of accents..lol

  • @sumdyasu

    Hello!

I love my indian speech. There is nothing better than Indian speech...so don't get wrong impression! It's just people don't understand multiculture and diversity...

  • Wat The Hell!! the water is going to the recipe at last? ????? I can imagine the taste!! haha..

  • @srabantia

To adjust consistancy of your gravy, you can add water at any point...very common sense! Doesn't make any difference to taste...enjoy!

  • wats the difference between garam masala and punjabi garam masal?

  • @napour

    Hi

Very minor difference...just few different spices are used to make particular garam masalas!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight

    Thank you.....)

  • @napour

  • @TheExamlover

    HI

  • @Rajlakshmi2

    Hi

if you like this dish, you will also like Kadai paneer and mix vegetable curry recipes of mine. Keep enjoying.

  • FAIL.

You need to learn How To Cook Indian Food.

    Thats all I gotta say.

  • @MissDivaDarling

    Hi

Thanx but how can I learn until you teach me....all chefs make everything according to their preference. I just try to find easy way out and i have my own way of making all recipes, if I just copy same recipe, what is the point of showing them? What makes my recipes popular probably is the way of presenting them differently. Hope this make sense to you...waiting for lessons from you!

  • @MissDivaDarling how should she make it then?-_-

  • Hi Bhavna,

Do you freeze your paste just like that? Could you tell me how to freeze it?

  • @kumarvyom1

    Hi

Yes, once I cook my paste, I freeze them in small containers for one time use. So I just need to take out one container and use them. Enjoy!

  • i was thinking that indian food is very hard to cooking it . but you make it with very isey way .

    so thank you

  • @Elyas404

    Hi

Indian cooking is not hard but confusing for begginers just b/c of lot of spices. If you learn about spices, cooking is really a piece of cake...Enjoy!

  • Thanks Bhavana.. It came out very well. Keep sharing more recipes :)

  • @lizzajacob

    Hi

  • Thank you for providing such good recipes. I find Indian food delicious and would love to give a try at cooking some myself. Thank you very much.

  • @ravenskys9

    Hi

    Enjoy!

  • Some questions , How much cream should I approximately add? and i thought it was navratan korma...shouldn't it be straight for vegans(vegetarians) already? But you said "If you're vegan you can use..."

  • @guddugr8

    Hi

I just eyeball. I add till my curry color changes from red to orange. So it really depends how much you making. If you are vegan use soy cream and tofu instead of paneer. Enjoy!

  • can we also use half nhalf instead of heavy cream ??

  • @desigujjugirl

    Hi

Yes, also these days, I just use skim milk powder and taste great. enjoy!

  • @SuperVeggieDelight

    thanks a lot

  • @desigujjugirl

    Hi

    You most welcome anytime.

  • u said that u used ready crushed tomatoes, can we make tomato puree at home just by grinding it ?

  • @harshini80

    Hi

Certainely you can make tomato puree at home. Home made is always great and healthy. Enjoy!

  • hi bhavana,

your recipe is too gud. Plz,let me know tht where will get the heavy cream, as i searched it in frozen section but its not there. Can i use condensed milk also. Is there any way to make it at home.

    Thanks

  • @harshini80

    Hi

Heavy cream is kept by milk section not in frozen section. But If you can't find heavy cream, don't worry at all. Add little bit of regular or skim milk to little bit of corn starch or arrowroot powder and add in your curry. These days, I add only nonfat milk powder to all my punjabji curry. It taste great with milk powder. You don't feel heavy after eating curry made with milk powder. Enjoy!

  • very good and healthy recipe.can we add tofu too?thanks bhavna for wonderful recipes.

  • @MissRaniKaur

    Hi

    Yes, sure you can. Enjoy!

  • Hello Bhavna. Love your wonderful recipies. I am wondering what ratio of onion to tomato do you use for your dishes. It looks like almost equal amounts of onion to tomato.

  • @Gladius314

    Hi

Not really equal, but I use actually 1/2 onion for 1 tomato. But when I make onion paste, I add nuts as well. So it looks almost same ratio as tomato. But it's infact 1:2 onion:tomato

    Enjoy!

  • hi bhavna....i m watching ur videos from long time....i like ur way of cooking and is easy to make ....it would be helpful if u upload some break fast recipes as i have small kid will get idea to make break fast

  • can u tell us the recepie of eggless cake roll .

    thanx

  • @parulgagan

    Hi will trysoon Thanx

  • @parulgagan

    Hi will soon

    Thanx

  • Thanks! I made this dish yesterday. My first time cooking it. Came out nice. Made a big quantity that will last me for 3 days :)

However, can you help me understand one thing? What ingredients cause water to be absorbed when it is added in (both in the first cooking and later in heating it up in subsequent days)? Is it the tomato puree that does that? Or is it the onion paste you made?

If it's not the tomato puree, what's the purpose of tomato puree? Is it just for the tomato-taste?

  • @TheBrotherMouzone

    Hi

If I have understood your question properly then water is absorb by all ingredients. Onion, tomato everything is used for taste and texture. Hope this helps, if not feel free to ask.

  • the dish i tried as per your instruction...its awesome... thanks to you bhavna

  • @hariwatch

Hi Great. Really happy to hear that. Thanx for sharing.

  • lolz... U just made me hungry!!!!...

  • Hi

    Welcome to my kitchen. Enjoy

  • I love your site. Thank you so much!

  • Hi

    Thax and keep enjoying

  • @SuperVeggieDelight hi bhavna i tried this receipe and it was awesome only problem it tasted little bitter is it coz of readymade storebought tomato puree or paprika?

  • @simrajain2

    Hi Vandita

It might be possible b/c of certain vegetable otherwise it shouldn't taste bitter. But next time try using fresh tomato sauce homemade preferably or just use fresh finely chopped tomatoes. Paprika doesn't taste bitter at all. Infact it has great flavor combination of sweetness and unique mild hot taste. But feel free to ask me again.

    Thanx

  • @simrajain2

hi there.. just saw your query while watching bhavna's video. the bitterness you had was not due to the tomato puree but the fenugreek leaves. Sometimes it just tastes too bitter. Next time try using less of it or avoid completely. Hopefully it shouldn't be bitter then. Good luck : ) ...

  • @achtzen18

    Hi

    Thank you for sharing.

  • @achtzen18 hi... i had same experience while making some punjabi dish... neways i dont think the problem is due to tomato puree but as per my experience it happns due to the HEAVY CREAM for sure... and the best way to resolve this issue is to add some enough sugar in it. Hope it will help you! thnks!

  • @milindkansara

    Hi

Thanx for sharing but I don't think it's heavy cream b/c if you have fresh heavy cream, it taste so good. I am going to make this again in just few days and let me see what is wrong b/c my curry never tastes bitter. But let's find out. Thanx

  • @achtzen18 thanks! i wonder why kasoori methi or fenugreek leaves are added to punjabi dishes whenever iadded it just tastes so bitter even though i add heavey cream to balance out.

  • @simrajain2

    Hi Vandita

Next time, just skip fenugreek leaves. I guess fenugreek leaves are so bitter in the UK.The one I grow here has mild bitter taste. Keep enjoying

  • @SuperVeggieDelight hi bhavna. i made it today without fenugreek leaves and it tasted heavely delicious my family enjoyed.

  • @simrajain2

    Hi Vandita!

Glad to hear that. See, I told you...fenugreek leaves are bitter in UK!!! Keep enjoying.

    Thanx

  • @simrajain2 I live in the UK too and had bought some fenugreek leaves but they were very mildly bitter. For a moment I thought they were methi leaves at all. Actually kasoori methi gives a very nice flavour to food. It is not the same as the common methi leaves we get. You should be able to get kasoori methi at any indian gorcery store. Infact I once saw Tesco selling it but it was a huge packet.

  • @simrajain2 ...contd ...

Anyway, getting back to it... don't use large quantities of kasoori methi in your cooking. A recipe that serves 4 should do with just one teaspoon and it will still be flavourful. Make sure you store your kasoori methi in an airtight container so as to stop it from losing its aroma over time.

  • @achtzen18

  • Hi

    Thank you

  • Hi Bhavna!

U doing s good job! i hava question, what is the difference between paprika and red chilli pdr? and where can i get paprika pdr? it may a silly doubt, however im new to cooking so pls bear with me!!

..n Wish u n ur family a Happy New Year!!

    Cheers

    Y Marni

  • Hi Ymarni

Questions and doubts are not silly at all. Questions and concerns reflects the curiosity of a person. I always love to discuss about any questions you have about cooking. It also helps me to learn more. Now coming to point of difference betn paprika and red chili is paprika is made by grinding dried, aromatic, sweet red peppers, usually the Tomato or Bell pepper. and red chili is made by grinding red hot chilis. So basically, paprika is very mild and red chili is hot.

  • Yum!! thank you for the great video!
