I don't think Charlie was being condescending to Palin. I just think he was getting sick of her pointing and saying "well Charlie" and talking to him like she new what the hell she was talking about. It was obvious she was versed into what to say. She couldn't wait to get it out.... just like a school child on test day. Obama, never looses his nerve...very relaxed and is consice with his answers. Don't get mad, because she's not very knowledgeable on foreign policy.

I think the condescending tone Gibson shows Palin stems from some of the previous answers Palin gave Gibson to questions such as the Bush Doctrine. Once she showed that she didn't know what it was, Gibson lost respect for her as a serious political candidate and treated her as though she didn't know what she was talking about with EVERY issue being discussed.

I will sleep better at night with Palin in charge. Obama is weak. It is called the executive branch for a reason. Obama will not be able to vote "Present" when faced with a decision. He voted "Present" on 152 Decision in his short 180 days in the Senate. Not "yes" and not "no", but "Present".

The difference I see between Obama and Palin is that Obama is very curious about the world, processes questions deeply, thinks for himself, and trusts the traditional American value that a real adult tries to avert war.

Palin is programmed to repeat soundbytes, acts super confident about her answers, revealing how insecure she is with her own limited intellect. Like when Bush bragged "I read 87 books last year". You only brag about that if you're insecure about being a retard.

yeah, if you watch this interview in sequence, she had already said her comment about hellbent islamists so many times i wanted to jump through the screen and kill her myself, and the amount of time the kept calling him charlie was a whole other thing. you can tell in the whole interview that charles just gets impatient. Plus, obama is more laid back, therefore charles wa., palin is like really perky and in your face, which is annoying sometimes.

What do I think? I think Charlie Gibson was condescending and slightly adversarial with Sarah Palin while handling BO with the usual kid gloves. For one who sprang so recently into the fray of the campaign, I also think Sarah Palin was poised and gave a good accounting of herself - at least as good as, uh, you know, uh the other, uh, guy.

Their responses are almost identical. The difference is in style. Obama seems to hesitate and is more philosophical. Sarah Palin seems more decisive. What is REALLY DIFFERENT is Charlie Gibson's attitude. He was laid back with Obama, but on the attack with Palin, interrumping her and asking for more specific answers and trying to make her nervous, just like a college professor who doesn't like you and is out to get you. Go Sarah! You've earned my respect. This is lipstick I can believe in.

Palin may have been nervous, scripted and even defensive (gee, why would THAT be?) but she is hardly scared.

Regardless of political leanings, what this showed me is that Gibson let Obama answer the question and then moved on to the next issue and with Palin, he kept looking for a Yes/No answer. He did not treat both in the same way. It shows bias and I am disappointed because essentially, Palin & Obama are giving the same answer; but Gibson dislikes Palin's answer - the most likely explanation is personal bias.

BTW, I am an Obama supporter & also an objective viewer. Let's get to the issues.
